OK life, I have to be completely honest here. I really, seriously do not like the taste of avocados. You'll never have to search my profile for a recipe with them, cuz I have none :-) I'm also clueless about the dehyrdrator too with them. I've tried to like them, but it's one of the few foods I do not eat :-) Perhaps I can redeem myself with the other recipes you like.... :-) Enjoy your green thingys :-)

I love them in veggie wraps... just take a tortilla, and pile on the sliced avocados, cucumber, lettuce, and whatever other vegetables you have in the house, then add a dressing of olive oil and lemon juice. I'm going to have to try the dessert recipes listed! I had avocado icecream once, and that was fantastic.

I've never tried to dehydrate them, but sliced on a bagle with melted cheese and fresh sprouts is great, and cut into chunks on a veggie burger, Garden Burger's charbroiled is the best, is a great low-carb thing to eat. Otherwise I'd be living on guac for a few days.

What I love doing with my avocadoes is slice them or crumble them in a large bowl. Then I put some ice cubes & condensed milk and mix it all up.It makes a yummy snack or dessert. You can also slice them up & put them in between a chicken/turkey sandwich....yumm yumm!

i don't have any idea about dehydrator, but i would suggest you to scoop it out and put it in a bowl after that add some condense sweeten milk and mix them together. You can keep it in your fridge before you want to eat them or you can directly eat them. They taste nice, you will like it.

I like them sliced in salads. I've also made desserts with them. They make a healthy creamy chocolate pudding.. In a blender, puree 1 large avocado, 1 T cocoa, 5 chopped dates, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 c. water. To make a chocolate ice cream, replace water with ice cubes. They can be made into smoothies with honey, milk, bananas, berries, anything you like. They can be baked into cakes and quick breads, replacing some of the shortening or oil that the recipes call for. I think the best way to preserve avocados is to puree them and freeze in freezer bags or airtight plastic containers.

So they have not yet gone bad? You can sill use them in your meals. A meal like rice, you can scoop them and mix them with it. It tastes delicious, even with mashed bananas. Or have you tried eating them with white bread? Its so delicious!

I love avacados. I could just sit and eat them plain all day..lol My favorite sandwich is. I use roll up flat bread. Spread with a thin layer of cream cheese. add sliced ham sliced turkey sliced swiss cheese avacado slices drained crushed pineapple roll, slice and enjoy....lol You can also use a bulkie roll or onion roll that's good too. I also really like sliced turkey, munster cheese, mayo or miracle whip with bacon and avacado.

Avocados is one thing that I know nothing about. When I worked in a produce dept of a local grocery store, we could not even sell them. We had one little lady who would buy 4 of them on the 3rd of the month and that was it. LOL Hope you find someone to help you though.

In the Philippines we use them as a dessert. It's so simple. Cut them in half, throw the seed away, remove the meat from the skin, put them in a bowl and crushed them a fork works really well. Add evaporated milk and sugar or you can add condensed milk. Enjoy!

Add the milk constantly until you reach the desired sweetness. You don't want it too sweet.

I don't know about the dehydrator, but you could try cutting them up and freezing them. I have bought frozen ones from Trader Joe's before I think they must freeze ok. I like eating them right out of the shell with lime and salt. Mmmm.

One of my favourite salads is avocado based. You cube up the avocados, chop some tomato into similar sized chunk. The nyou put some nice lettuce in your dish and pile the mix of avocado and tomato ontop. You make a dressing of a nice light oil and some lemon or lime juice and some garlic (and other herbs that you like). Emulsify that into a nice light dressing and pour over. Enjoy! If you have fresh cilantro or parsley, it also works really good as an extra 'green' with the lettuce. I've also added green onion for a nice little crunch. The contrast of the crunchiness of the lettuce with the creaminess of the avocado is really nice, and the freshness of the tomato makes it not too cloying.

Avocado - A fruit treated as a vegetable...
I don't like them, but my grandma enjoy them alot...She actually put her avocados in a brown paper bag until ripe.. She has even made Avacodo bread, But, I still don't like it..I was looking online for you, hopefully this site gives you some ideas as to what to do with your avocados... Me and my hubby love it spread over plain toast (or rolls), and spread over our sandwhiches...What I usually do is mince a little garlic, salt, and lime (he prefers onion instead of garlic, it depends on what you like most)...and then we mix it to make a spread. It is really yummy...and we like it sliced over our salads.
