I don't think it does. I have posted a discussion and had to go for the day. When I came back I had a lot of responses but my earnings didn't go up from them. When you reply to the responses that does help your earnings. I try to reply to all responses.

I think so because yesterday I had a long discussion and earned more money than I did the day before.

Well I think the responses to our discussions play a additive role in earning in mylot. But necessarily its replies are important too. The one and only discussion of mine that get above 80 responses, gave me about 70 - 80 cents in that day. And so its a bit important to have more responses and we do them replies as well. Have a nice day.

We have conflicting views about this topic. One sure way to increase your earnings is to respond to every response on your topic. It may not count toward your post total, but it will count towards your earnings total when mylot updates the system.

It does affect your earnings, but it might not show up for a while. And it may also depend on how people rate your discussions.

No one seems to have a truly solid answer on this one. I have heard that only the first response counts towards earnings. I have also heard that the more popular your discussions, the more you get paid. I wish there was better clarification on this. I have noticed that my earnings do increase with the amount of responses I get, but I don't know if that is truly how the algorithm goes.
