Some people really have good resistance against cold. I was thinking about this when I swa some people walking only wearing the tracksuit on the street. Surely this is an exersice routine, but still I can't think of going out side with that minimum cloth in this real cold weather, where current tempareture is in "-". I don't have much resistance against cold. What about you?

no i don't have much resistance against cold weather either, last week we had minus temp.'s and I didn't want to live the house, but had to for work & groceries...ect. I can't wait to move to CA. What's bad is the wind chill-that is what made our weather here in the minus degree temp. -23 freezing cold!

Weather in California is ideal to live. I like that moderate kind of weather.

I can't stand it! I am cold all the time anyway, so come winter and low temps I freeze until spring. I look like I live in Alaska when I go out, LOL.

I get very cold now that I am older, but when I was younger I didn't. Everybody has different thermostats built in their bodies. Men are always 10 degrees hotter than women. If someone is running then the track suit would be all they need to stay warm, because they will sweat after running.

My ideal weather - I love cold weather
I love the cold:-)) I live in cold, and rainy Britain, and my Mother was from cold, and snowy Russia, and I guess I just have a good resistance to it. I am very rarely cold, no matter how low the temperature, and I love to be outside, and walk in the snow and ice! However, conversely, I am appaling in hot weather anything over 23 C (about 70 F), and I feel faint, and dizzy, and ill because I can't stand it!

I have maybe a slightly better than average resistane to cold, butI attribute that to the meat on my bones. I am about twenty pounds over wieght, and I usually get cold less than my skinnier friends. Score one for the fat chicks! ( no offense meant) My older brother though, he is amazing. He is still wearing jean shorts and cut of t-shirts, and it is 12 degrees on a regualr basis.

I don't have any resistance against the cold at all. I have 2 different types of circulation disorders and I get cold very quickly. Sometimes I even have to wear a sweater in the summer if there's a breeze. I envy those who don't have to have as much on and the cold doesn't bother them. We've had a lot of minus zero degrees the past couple of weeks, I had to put on a snowmobile suit to go out and get the mail, lol. I haven't gone shopping or anything because it's been so darned cold out!

I was always coming down with a cold or flu, it used to annoy the hell out of me why I got them so easily, someone only had to cough or sneeze near me and bang I would be down with a damn cold or worse. But since I started going to the gym regularly and running, I haven't (touches wood) come down with a single cold, I have really lucky that all this winter I've been real fit and healthy! Must be all the fruit I consume or I sweat out the germs on the treadmill every day!

Would you believe, that I suffer from COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonory desease) and I never get a cold, not even a few sniffles. I had pneumonia a few years ago, but I haven't had a cold in about twelve years. I go around the house with just a t-shirt on and if I need to go out to the yard for anything, I don't bother to wear a coat. Maybe it has to do with all the medication I am taking. It might be helping to keep the cold germs away.

I can tolerate the heat even extreme hot weather, but I really hate the cold and can't stand it.. exercising is another thing when running you don't feel the cold, I can run in extreme cold weather but for normal activities i feel like I want to hibernate and don't want to leave home unless I have to :)

What I've found is that now that I've lost a lot of weight (I used to weigh about 60-70 pounds more than I do now) I get cold ten times as easily! And once my feet get cold, and they get cold easily, I can be miserable for hours. For some reason, my feet getting cold sets of the rest of me feeling really cold, and if I'm in a cold building I can then get to feeling miserable and it's hard to come out of it. So that is the one thing that i have found that I have *not* enjoyed about being thinner, lol! I have very little resistence to cold now, and when I was heavier I hardly ever noticed the cold that much until it practically got to sub zero temps! lol.

I am not sure about that. I like in Hong Kong, the most chilly temperature is just about 7~8 degrees, and I think that it is the most that I can resist. How about others?

I guess it is a matter of metabolism. Also those people you saw may have just gotten done running. That gets you pretty warm. There is the state of mind also. Some of us have a control over how we chose to react to any number of things. If none of this fits then your guess is as good as mine. I am pretty good with cold, except when it gets to single digits, if I become chilled my body stiffens and it is really hard to move and if I do there is a chance that I hurt myself.

I think that I do simply because I am out in the cold so often. I find that layering my clothing is the best way to keep warm, and I can add or delete a layer depending on how I am feeling. I do wear Heely Hanson long underwear and would never be without it. It allows me to wear less outer clothing and I like that because I feel I have a better range of motion.

I cannot remember when I had a cold last, it has been years so I guess my resistance is high but I have other Major medical problems so maybe it is not that high.
