I prefer Wordpress, I love this tool since I've installed it on my domain, so many features that I think I didn't see them all!

I use wordpress, but I host it on my own domain because sites that pay you to blog for money prefer it this way. My blog on http://www.blogsire.com/myblog/ explains how this is done. It's also cheap to host your own site. I only pay 6.95 per month and I get a free domain. I also get heaps of extras. It only takes one post, about 10mins to pay for two months of hosting.

Thank you for responding. Just wondering, do you have to be a data guru to have an own domain or can amateurs like me have that without problems?

I think Wordpress is the better of the two, because it's a lot more versatile. You can set posts to "go live" at any point in the future or past, and there are a lot of other things that make it a better tool. That said, I use Blogger because it's easier and I don't have to think about what I'm doing. Lazy, maybe? :)

Wordpress is much easier to use than Blogger. You have a big choice of themes, and lots of widgets to customize your blog. It also allows you to have static pages. Visitor stats, tagging, and lots of other good features that Blogger doesn't have. And if you want to use CSS, you can upgrade for a yearly fee. I just started a second blog on blog-city, which has a lot of the same features as wordpress. The menus are more difficult to understand at first, maybe because it's a European site, and they have different ways of looking at site design. Wordpress has a forum for problems, and very good support. Blog-city is pretty iffy about support and FAQs. I feel much more on my own there than on Wordpress. Vox is easy and fun, but when I was on it, it didn't let you have a blog roll.

Thank you for your responses both of you. I will have a look at Blog-City - I actually have never heard of them. Also I have never heard of Vox.

I use both and they have different attributes. It depends on your goals. WordPress does allow you to create a post and have it publish later, so you don't have to be at your computer to hit "Publish" like you do with Blogger. They have a lot of themes. However, Blogger is easier to manipulate so that you get a customized blog and the widget controls are also easier to work with. I have a tons of widgets so that's a plus. For me, the biggest difference is that in WordPress you can preview your post and see what it looks like much more realistically than in Blogger. With Blogger, I frequently use the preview feature, then Publish only to find that it looks totally different than expected and I have to re-edit and re-publish.
