The glass half empty or half full ? How do you live your life? I have always been an optimist, although lately things sometimes look more like an half empty glass LOL but still I tend to have an optimistic view of life. I tend to always see the best in everyone and every situation and always feel that everything can be worked out. But not everyone is like this.. what are you: optimist or pessimist?

For the most part I am pretty optimistic. I will do everything in my power to get the desired result, so I tend to think anything is possible. But when things are really bad, I do find myself being a tad pessimistic. I am constantly getting myself into trouble by believing in the greater good of everyone. Sometimes you end up getting hurt that way. But I would rather have a positive outlook than to be bitter.

yes, i can see that when things go south, there is more a tendency to see the glass half empty. The good thing about me, I think, is that I can usually find something positive in the middle of the worst situation. That has helped me many times.

I would say that rather I see the glass half full or half empty is depending on weather your filling it up or drinking it down. I guess I consider myself a realist. I see things how they really are.

Yes feet on the ground works too. I know that being too optimistic led me to make a few not to good choices. Not counting on the fact that some friends used to joke with me saying that I was going through life a rose colored glasses:) As a whole, I agree with you, feet on the ground a realistic view of life... but then there's the added spice of tending to see the bright side of things.

Mwuahahah..the glassis both half empty and half full! Sorry..couldn't resist lol. I like to think of myself as a realist. Seeing the good and bad of every situation yet remaining hopeful. Because I know there's millions of different things which could happen depending on how I deal with everything with a few most likely things. I guess I try to deal with "probabilities" and "possibilities". Sometimes it's rather depressing but most of the time I'm pretty happy with my point of view of things lol. So..I'm realist who used to be an optimist who used to be a pessimist..go figure. Hehe.

I have always been an optimist. That doesn't mean i am not realistic...when things look UGLY i say it. But I try to extract something positive from almost everything. There are people that instinctively think that all is wrong once a problem get in their way, but i try to avoid it and think that perhaps something good will happen, that the problem will/might lead to something good. Don't know if that's being a bit naive, but i think it makes me happier than thinking the worst all the time...after all if life is going to slap you, it will anyway.

Me too:) I think a glass half full is always better than an half empty one, although a completely full one isn't a bad idea either LOL
