Ladies, would you date a man shorter than you?

Hi! I'm actually tall and I told myself before that I will never date someone shorter than me...But I ate my words coz right now my boyfriend is 2 inches shorter than me. I love wearing high heels, stilletos, but now, I just wear flat shoes, sneakers etc. just so I wouldn't look that tall when we're together. He told me it's ok if I wear heels; he's not insecure of his height but I chose to lessen wearing heels. My boyfriend is a really nice guy and that compensates for his height (",)

Actually, I wouldn't mind dating somebody shorter than me! Haha! Looks don't really matter, you know. It's the personality that will work the magic. Well, nobody can blame you for wanting a macho, taller than thee fella. Every girl wants somebody who'll be able to protect them from everything. But, sometimes love is blind. There are lots of couples where the guy is shorter than the gal, or even the guy is younger than the guy. Lots of varieties.

no i dont realy think so ... but i would definetly date guys that are much taller then me i mean its a difernt thing guys are supost to be taller then women so i wouldnt realy go out with a person smaller then me

Yes i would date a guy that is shorter than me. It does not matter about the hight, or the looks to me. To me the guys have to have a good personality, someone you can talk to openly about anything. Somewhone you can trust and love. Ok maybe ilied a little about looks then have to be generaly good looking. skinny-medium build. no red hair or covered in freckels. Thats the only thing i dont like in a man.

As much as I'd like to say and believe even that my answer to this would be a yes, I don't think I really would. I'm a 5'8" heal wearing girl and don't anticipate the heals will be going anywhere soon. I could probably do a tiny bit shorter but I don't really think I'd feel very comfortable with someone too much shorter. It just wouldn't seem right or something. Generally, I actually find myself attracted to tall guys anyway. The taller the better it generally appears for me.

for me i dont think i can date someone shorter than me.. im only 5feet and 2 inches.. and if i date someone shorter i dont think i will be comfortable.. :)

lol - if a man was shorter than me he would be SHORT! I'm only 5' tall. I like tall men anyway - opposites attract as they say!

Depends on How much shorter, if only a little like a few cm fine. I was with this guy once who was pretty short and I did feel kinda arkward because of the hight difference... I do prefer a Man to be my height or taller as you say you feel protected by them. A shorter man you feel like you have to do all the protecting...

personally I have once dated this guy who was shorter then me and actully its a little silly to say I was really concious when ever we go out because everyone stare at us as if they have seen something weird but finally I end up falling in love with him because he is the most perfect guy for me... and loves me the most so I guess some time it actully works.

We think alike, my preference is a taller man, also I love wearing heels myself...It is that secure feeling and having a tall man beside me...just a beatiful thing

Not at all as I love to look upto my man and do not think that I can if he is shorter than me as I myself am not that tall so he will look like a lilliput.

sure why not if he's character can hide his shortcomings. well to be honest before i will be going to have a date then its always the character that matters to me. As long as he is a gentleman then i can go with him.

My man is taller then me when I'm wearing sneakers but if I wear heels, he's shorter. He gets really offended because he feels that others are laughing at him. But I don't mind at all that I'm taller then him.

it depends on how much shorter. I am pretty tall and I have dated guys the same hight or taller than me - but when I think about it - never one that is shorter. I don´t know if it is by accident or choise. =) I do belive that I would date one that is shorter as long as he is not ALOT shorter. I would feel like a giant next to him *haha*

Well, if that is your preference then so be it. But, I saw other tall girls dated men shorter than her. Maybe their preference is not the height but the "bigness"... of the heart.

I also prefer the same height or taller rather than shorter. Although, i fell in love with someone short then it doesnt matter anymore. I also love high heels and all..and im already not wearing anymore since my husband is the same height as me. Once im in heels, il be like 2inches taller.:P
