It's strictly online. There's no single player element. Warcraft, Warcraft 2 and Warcraft 3 are strategy games that have extensive single player action.

World of Warcraft is the most awesome MMORPG game I've played so far. It's gameplay, lore, storyline, characters, everything. Simply amazing!

World of Warcraft is a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game. What that means is that when you play World of Warcraft, you are actually interacting with other people via the game. World of Warcraft is based on the "Warcraft" series of PC games. There are essentially two "sides" that you can play, Alliance and Horde. Each character that you create belongs to one of the races within these allegiances, including Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Drenei and Gnome (Alliance), or Orc, Troll, Blood Elf, Tauren, and Undead (Horde). Your character can do many things, including wearing different equipment, battling enemies that include both non-player characters and player characters, fishing, cooking, creating weapons, armor and potions, casting magical spells, etc. There are a lot of different ways to play, and a large world to explore. The only real downside to this game is that you have to buy the computer game itself, and then pay for a subscription each month to play. My husband and I stopped playing for a while because it is rather expensive, but it's just so much fun we can't stay away. =p

It's a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (mmorpg) set in the Warcraft universe. You can create a character out of the many races, like dwarf, orc, human, etc. It can be a magician or a fighter, among other classes, and you go on adventures. People enjoy it.
