What has been the happiest moment of your life?

It would be really nice to hear about people's happiest moments and what caused them.

The happiest moment of my life was taking my 6.5 week old daughter home. She was born 2 months premature and spent the first 6.5 weeks of her life in the NICU. The day I took her home I was the happiest woman in the world!

I used to think my happiest moment was getting married to the love of my life. Then we had our first daughter and that was the happiest moment of my life. Soon our second daughter will be born and that might be one of the happiest moments as well.

The single happiest moment (so far) in my life occurred when I stepped on the train, a couple of hours after sitting for my last high school exam (This was in the UK, so they were A-levels, and I was at boarding school), with the knowledge that I would NEVER have to come back to that place. School was 12 straight years of torment at the hands of bullies for me, so knowing that it was actually OVER, for GOOD, seemed like an absolute miracle, at the time. I have had my share of happy moments since then, but that moment was just incredibly powerful... and I can still "feel the feeling" today, 27 years later.

Ooooh, it seems that every response here talks about their babies when asked about their happiest moments. I am missing something here. Single, no kids, no love life, no regular employment (don't you think I am a candidate for depression?) LOL. My happiest moments are the times I have money. It follows that I am sad when there is no money in my pocket. I might hear some people say that money is not everything. And I say money can be a cure for my problems. It can cure me when I am having bouts with mild depression. Instead of wallowing in self-pity, I will do productive things like enrolling in a short course that interests me. I might want to go to another place to breathe fresher air and experience new things. I can invite anyone I want to join me and watch a concert. All these things you cannot do if you don't have money. Whatever they say, money makes a difference. It makes me happy but it doesn't mean that money is everything. I also have my exceptions.

The happiest moment in my life was when my son was born .After 10 months of waiting the moment finally came in my life. I remember I had a terrible pain all day.I was admitted to hospital by my husband. After 2 hours my son was born. All my pain was cured by seeing him.

Adding to the list of baby replies, lol - my very happiest moment to date was when my daughter was born and they handed her to me for the very first time. Seeing that precious little face that I had dreamed of for so long. We tried for nine months to get pregnant, so that was the culmination of a year and a half of waiting for this sweet little girl, and it couldn't have been more wonderful.

It's no surprise that the majority of posts are about kids (at least it's no surprise to those that have them...) My happiest moments are every day when I get home from work and my daughter comes running to greet me with the news if the day. Today it was 'Daddy Daddy, I've got new slippers!'...priceless... I wasn't really alive until my daughter came along...
