Do you have an electric or manual toothbrush?

I must say, I had been manually brushing my teeth for the first 25 years of my life. That all changed when I got my first sonicare a few years ago. I love it! Now I will never go back to manual teethbrushing. Since I went electric, my teeth feel so much cleaner and my smile is noticably whiter (within a month of using it- my mom asked me if I had gone for Zoom treatments). The texture of my front teeth is absolutely perfect! I don't know how I lived without this device. Even though it took so long for me to switch over, I would never consider going back. The sonicare is a worthy $70-$125 investment. You'll look better, feel better, and take years off your teeth. I swear- I don't work for sonicare- but have you tried it? Or another electric toothbrush? The difference is AMAZING!!!

I use both, and favor my electric toothbrush. Even my dental hygenist has seen a big difference since I have used mine. They are a great investment, and well worth the money. Not sure if yours has a pause to let you know you have brushed for 1 minute. You should brush your teeth at least 2 minutes a day. Your teeth will feel better for sure!!! I love mine to!!

I have a manual brush that I am using right now. I have a Sonicare toothbrush also. I can't use my Sonicare toothbrush right now because my gums are too sensitive. I have a dentist appointment next week to get my teeth cleaned and see why my gums are so sore. After I get my mouth healed, I will definitely use my new battery charged Sonicare toothbrush. It does do a very good job and it does makes your mouth and teeth feel like you just came out of the dentist office. I have to get my gums taken care of first before I can use it often though as I already had gum problems before buying it. I may not have to go to the dentist office very often after this time.

My teeth were very sensitive when I first started using the Sonicare. I couldn't use it for the full recommended time. Now I am used to it though and I love it.

Well I've never heard of Sonicare - I guess it is a US brand - but I do use a electric tootbrush, and I must admit I would never return to the old style manual ones now. Somehow, my teeth feel much cleaner, and my mouth much fresher, after using it. I really don't know why - guess it's just because it has more "power" to clean more deeply, but they definately are a good invention.

I brush my teeth manually since i started how to bursh teeth. I heard about electric tootbrush though, but its not yet common in our country, i think because i havent seen a single one yet. You say it makes your teeth whiter? How? What does it have that make teeth whiter? And since i havent seen one, i wonder how it is operated, battery-operated or you plug it into an electric socket? Forgive my ignorance.ΓΌ

You plug the base in to an electric socket on my model and it recharges the toothbrush when it sits on the base. They also have battery operated versions. It makes your teeth whiter by cleaning better- removing stains with increased friction and ease.

I started using the sonicare along with my grandchildren when the oldest had her braces. The orthodonest suggested it for her. I love the way that it make your teeth feel when you are done. I think they are well worthv the price because after you are done you know your teeth are clean

I have always and is still using a manual toothbrush. The price of an electric toothbrush is really steep considered to a manual one. How long can an electric toothbrush last? How often do you have to change it?

No, I use a manual toothbrush. My husband however, loves the battery operated Oral B toothbrushes. He bought me one, but i don't like the way it feels in my mouth, it feels like a dentist drill or something. If the sonicare works like that I don't think I'd be able to use it, but if it works like cleaning well I would try it. I have never heard anything bad about the Sonicare. My neice bought one before she married and loves it.

Wow, I've never tried an electric one before, but maybe I should! lol I've always used manual toothbrushes cause they're so much cheaper, but I always figured there wasn't that much difference. I guess I should look into getting one sometime if it makes that big of a difference!

I use a manual. But after reading these comments I may look into getting an electric one. Wow, I didn't know you were supposed to brush 2 min.

I brush my teeth daily, and use mouthwash. I don't drink a lot of soda. I don't drink coffee at all thats really what I do to keep my teeth healthy. I drink only bottled water and asked my dentist about this and he informed me that all of the fluoride I needed was in the toothpaste I was using. My dad treated water for 25 years and has informed me that for the last several years he did not add extra into the water - that it just wasn't necessary. I don't think that fluoride should be added into bottled water.
