O_o what?? My response was deleted!

Okay. I'm not upset, but that's just bizarre. I didn't violate any rules..I was just participating in a debate and I politely told someone they were dangerously close to violating the mylot rules..and I see hers and my responses to her borderline-rule breaking responses are now gone. And guess what? She's back in that same thread flaming, but a whole bunch more members are now telling her it's against the rules, and I have the feeling her posts are gonna get deleted again. So I'm not gonna reply to her again, and the thread is getting a bit long..but God, is that far? To take away response-numbers away from me 'cause I bothered to very politely and very nicely point out that she could be just a little nicer? I'm not gonna mention the thread but this is ludicris..I was overly polite! Why would they delete mine too? Maybe it's just how the system works, the ones directly below the response to another response gets deleted? But no..that can't be it 'cause another guy's not-so nice responses were deleted too and the person directly under them's was still there. For the record, my response was to her response to another response. We'd only a little gotten to talk. She'd gone quiet for weeks, and I figured I got my point across..now I'm back there again, an' she's openly flaming and not borderlining on it. I'm gonna stay away from that thread for a bit I think. The last time I was there I lost my ten star for the second time -- because people hated me for disageeing with them..abusing the rating system. She's not a bad person, this girl who's wrapped up in her own little flame war, now starting to making cruel jokes about other members..she's usually pretty nice. But she's lost it or something..she seems to consumed by posting nasty things on that one thread.. I don't know what the point was of me posting this. All I can say is I hope this doesn't happen too often.

It is amazing that you knew which thing was removed by the lurking anonymous moderators. If I know you, you were trying to be helpful. I suggest that next time you see one of her hateful discussions that you just report it to Mylot and see if they decide to take care of that kind of situation. Good luck with these things in the future.

Lol..I just noticed my posts went down and figured they deleted an old discussion. It happens sometimes, I know that..but I was going back and reviewing my newest responses to things, revisited one of the debates to check on what people were saying..and I noticed, my responses were gone. The only logical explanation was mods. And thanks for the advice, I think I will do that.

The Troll - He might be a little late, but here's the Xmas troll
I have noticed lately that a couple of my responses to discussions have been deleted, but I have no idea why. I can only assume that the system just kicked them out along with others. Your discussions and responses are always polite and well mannered, so I can only assume that you have picked up a troll who won't leave it alone. Please don't let the troll upset you hun, it isn't worth it.

I won't get upset, dearie I promise. It was just a little bewildering..though now reading everyone's responses here I think I'm getting a little cleaerer idea about what exactly happened. I guess it is just the system's way..in a way it's kinda good that the mods are so on top of everything, but in another it's a little unfair that my numbers had to go down by a couple too. But as long as they get trolls I suppose its not too bad a thing since it'll save a whole load more members the trouble of dealing with them.

This happened to me the other day. I had written a long response and even received best response for but. Then when I went back to see if anyone had responded to it, it was completely gone. The next day it was back but it was not marked best response. Strange! The person who asked the question noticed as well so it wasn't my faulty eyes lol. :) Check back in a couple days to see if it is there. It could be a myLot database glitch.

First off i'm deeply sorry to hear of this. All i've noticed is that some of the mylotters not all don't believe in respecting what others say.And sadly you've become a victim of one of those.I can never imagine myself negatively rating a person or reporting them of abuse. But some of these who i just mentioned are simply afraid that they'd loose the little faith they have in their belief thats the reason they seem to be doing this.I think they must have reported your thread of abuse or something, not quite sure. All i can say right now is to ask you to refrain from the thread of those who hate you and that'll do a lot good. Once again i'd like you to know that i'm sorry to hear this and please forgive the person who must have done this.Thats the greatest thing you could do. P.S. I'm not trying to preach here.So don't get this wrong. I know you hate it when people preach.LOL

Lol..what's to forgive? I'm not even upset..it's just one of those things you make a face about and go "Wtf?" So someone reported my reply even though I was being NICE and made my star go down from a ten to a nine..*shrugs* this is just a forum site, you know? A place I hang out and make money..I don't really care. Now if she somehow made my earning's go down and thus hurt the main reason I'm here..THEN my fur'd be ruffled. But she didn't..so..meh, you know?

lol and i'm sure you'd have made one of those faces. I always used to spring up off my chair when i used to see your 10 rated star. I guess i wouldn't have done that even if i had seen an increase in my rating.lol.

The trick seems to be to hit on very controversial subjects and present a logical point..or at least talk about something like parenting issues or tattoos or other things alot of people love and only a few abjectly hate, and that usually makes the star go up. People just forget to rate me these days lol..well most of them do anyways. As long as I stay away from those tempting debates I should be fine *protects my star*

Just let it go and do your own thing. Sometimes we look for justice and things don't always work but itis good that you posted your own discusiion here to express your feelings and maybe this will be taken into account and the situation rectified. I hope every thing will be o.kwith you. I love to agree to disagree in a civilised and polite manner. Sometimes I get people disagreeing with my opinions but if they are not rude about it. I am happy they have expressed themselves. God bless.friend!

I can understand your feelings, I did the same thing once, but what I did was that I reported the person, without a single post in his/her discussion. Well, that is to conceal my identify. Its not that I dare not show my true identity, but its about the rules, and regulations we ought to follow here. Every member, has the responsibility to read, and follow the rules. If unclear, they should clarify with other members. But neglecting the kind reminder of users, and using that reminder responses against the kind user, I supposed that is too much. I wouldn't want to get involve in such things, so what I would do was that knowing that the discussion could, or might possibly due to breaking of rules, get deleted, I supposed posting a respond would nonetheless, be assumed as 'waste-posting' As citizens of MyLot, reporting would be a wiser thing to do in my opinion. Its like, a passer-by civilian, telling a robber who is armed, that he is not moral, what would the robber usually do if he is armed? Guess we could predict that ya?

Just remember that it's that time of the month when myLot does it's clean-up. Next time you see a post like that, report it. If you add fuel to the fire you end out getting burned. I had one of my discussions deleted last week. I don't know why. Someone else started a discussion very similar to mine and their's didn't get deleted. *shrug*

i think you should avoid her if and only it will do harm on your stars and on your posts. it really felt sad when you are try to be as polite and as nice as u can be and yet other people still rate you negatively. it isnt fair and really we cant do anything if they will just rate us by negative. so the best thing you can do is dont bother to reply to her posts. at least you just lost your points mine my earnings wasnt updated for 2 days. although i had write to admin already and still waiting for their response. i just hope everything will be fine to all members here. and i do hope that this things wont happen to you and to me again.

Well when you run across people like that, I would not even respond. some people do thing just to get you to respond. Just think that you are better then that and go on to someone's elses discussions. There are so many nice people on here that you would not have a problem finding something that intrest you.

Hey, dont get owrked up about it. It sounds like she isnt someone worth thinking about too much and sorry your responses got deleted but myabe in future just report the perosn and do not get involved. One of my discussions got deleted because an argument started in it that had no relevence to do with my post but i wasnt here at the time. I just came on the next day and it had disappeared. I was very confused. I think you just got to accept that it can happen on myLot but it is a bit of a pain. Do not rise to the bait because this girl is what is called a troll and you do not want to be known by assosciation.

I'm not worke up over it, and tis' okay about the double posting. I know how things can glitch sometimes. I usually just try to defend people. But the next tme I see things starting to turn venomnous I think I will just not get involved. I'm not her friend or anythin'but I had rather liked her, until she grows out of the troll-ness though I think I will just stay away, since as you pointed out it'd be wise. I'm sorry one of your discussions got deleted though..and I do suppose it's something we'll have to get used to on mylot. Thanks for responding

Yesterday there was a discussion that I commented on. There was nothing wrong with the original post itself but it got reported as a flame war so the whole discussion got deleted. I felt bad for the person who originally wrote that discussion because it wasent their fault and now their discussions has been deleted. Its to bad they couldnt just delete the spot where people were flaming and leave the rest of the discussion up!
