I as of the last week have been doing a lot of photo uploading here on mylot. I did this instead of starting a lot of discussions to see the rate for pictures posted. After a few days I have seen that it does pay to add a few photos to the image area of topics. Not in our own photo page but under the images of individual interest category's. I am still earning about $1.75 daily but now I don't start but a few discussons daily. I'm averaging about 3 cents each photo. I've also found that the more interesting the photo and more deatils added about the photo the better mylot pays us for the photo. Also make sure if you do upload a photo it goes under the right interest group as the pay rate depends on this also. I've learned this through much trail and error. So I just wanted to relate this to you all for your benefit. I take a lot of pictures outdoors so that's why I choose this route. I think I'll be posting 10 or so pictures daily under various interest groups. Thanks for taking time to read this and enjoy your photo taking also. Attached is a photo of the last ice floating down the Mighty Mississippi River near my home. Enjoy this. Other pics like this are under the photography section. I've also added some to life and children interest groups if you care to view and/or rate them.

WOW, this is news to me! I didn't know we can upload images for the categories. NICE. I am gonna check it out now. More money is definitely welcome.

Grandpa Bob ! I didn't even know you could do that ! Then again I only just realised that one can post pictures on discussions that they have started themselves. Would you mind giving some instructions on how to post pictures to an individual interest category ?
At the moment I'm averaging $0.01 on photos that I've added to my discussions that I've started. I do take a lot of photos myself - nature, scenery, people, so it would come in handy if I knew how to use them in the 'interest category' :)

Thank you for the information. you can make use of other site such as suttleshock etc to make more money. Are using a digital camera or a cellphone camera ?

Thank you so much Grandpa Bob. I have been rating photos in interest categories, but didn't really think it would make much of a difference if I added them. It is good to know that it does. Are you only adding your own photos or are you also adding ones found on the web? I love the one you have posted here. Thank you for sharing it. It's a lovely sight.

Just my own. Mylot doesnt pay very much for clipart etc.

That's great GrandPa, so now I think I should take more photos of myself or any toher unusual things around me!;)
I only upload photos whenever I post, start or respond. I haven't took time yet in looking at that category. So I thank you for putting another useful topic for us to make our earnings more fruitful, because I sometimes take some of the easy things for granted..

I have been having lots of problems loading photos. I have hundreds on my PC and I tend to have my camera with me at all times! I have asked mylot to look into it and hope they will get it fixed soon1
I have received 1 cent for every one I have uploaded. Maybe it is higher now with all the upgrades. I hope so, I do like money and photos so it seems like a good thing to me!

Thanks for this, because I wasn't aware photos added under interest catergories were paid more. I had done a few when I first started My Lot, but not for a long time.
Occassionally I am paid 1c for photos I have with my discussions.
My daily earnings have only just gone up over $1.00. I am not sure why, but all I can think of is that I get more responses.
I will definitely try adding more photos now, under my interests category.

I can't upload pics to my responses yet, but I plan to put some on the interest pages. I love the pic you put on this one. Is the mighty Mississippi "mighty" up where you are?

Not where I live.
But upstream in Minneapolis are the lock and dams.
Pretty mighty there.

Thanks for shareing your tips grandpa Bob! As you know, I dont upload alot of pictures. I take alot but they are all of my niece. I have a few good picture of the lake & woods but other then that, I have nothing to post. I know alot of people get there pictures off other internet sites. I dont mess with doing that for a few reasons. One being that it takes up memory on my computer, & I dont have alot of that left. The other being because I dont know were to find them. (The later being the main reason of course:) I didnt know that you earned that much from them. I thought it was just like a penny. I might start uploading some now...

Thanks for the info. I've never gone all out in posting pics, in fact, I forget about it most of the time. I think the Photography section is a great idea and a way to utilize this feature a lot better.
Btw, I've only seen ice on the Mississippi River once here in Louisiana and that was about 20 years ago. It is very rare and has to be a super cold year up north for us to see that. Nice pic!

As soon as I hit 500 I started to post as many pictures as I could find to go with discussions. Yes I find I make more money by doing this and I enjoy putting in pictures if I can find one to go with the discussion. I have a few programs that I bought for using graphics when i was making a lot of web sites they come in handy for me now.

Thanks for sharing your information on the pic uploads. I have only been on mylot for a month and i have been trying to find out how everything works and how i can make the most out of my mylot experience. I have learned several things but also i know there is alot of stuff i still dont know but i am learning. I just wished i could get a little more going on referrals, you wouldnt think that would be hard cause this is not like work it is fun to do and once you get going having your fun i believe there is money to be made here. Have a good rest of the evening.
