12 Hour Shifts...

Do any of you work 12 hour shift? I work overnight shifts and sometimes enjoy having the extra days off each week. How does your family deal with the longer shifts. Sometimes, I know my husband gets tired of the longer shifts, but he does enjoy me being home the extra days !

no my shifts were 7 hours but sometimes I used to do overtime, when I really needed the money. Since my son lives with me, and he is an adult it didn't make much different to him anyway.

A typical shift for me is 11 hours. Tonight I am working from 5 pm to 4 am at a pizza place. I wish I had regular hours all the time because I never get weekends off!

I must admit I've never actually worked a twelve hour shift, but I always like doing shiftwork which means I can work when people are at home and vice versa so that travelling is much easier and shopping is too, I can shop midweek, when most people shop at the weekends. I have always been single so it has never been a problem.
