What type of pen and colour ink do you prefer to write with?

Do you have preferences as to the type of pen (ie biro, fountain pen etc) and the colour of ink (ie blue, black etc) that you write with? I like to use a biro since fountain pens are messy and also i'm left handed so have to use a pen what won't smudge easily. I don't mind using either black or blue ink, i tend to just use whichever i have to hand, and sometimes will have phases as to which colour i use.

As long as it's black, liquid ink and fine tipped it's good in my books.

I tend to prefer writing with black ink rather than blue, though to be honest I don't know why! I always use biro thugh - fountain pens are too messy and haven't got the patience for them!!

I tend to use biros most off the time, the colour doesn't really matter I'll both black or blue whichever is to hand. Although I don't know why, I'll always write birthday & christmas cards with a fountian pen and blue ink.

Cross Ion - This compact Cross Ion Gel Pen which is futuristic, stylish and fun, will be the perfect gift for your clients in the fast paced technological world
My all time favorite is the Cross Ion pen. If I don;t have that with me, a good gel pen will do. 90% of the time, black ink is my first choice but I have been known to get girlie and write with pink or purple ones :]

I like black ink and one of those roller ball pens that has a very tiny tip. They sometimes leak, but they write very smoothly. But these days I usually just use any pen I can find laying around since my husband tends to take them to work with him.

black ink, as it looks smarter. fountain pens or gel pens as they are smoother on the paper and less messy. I find Biros feel scratchy on the paper and the ink is very sticky, so it gets messy easily. and my handwriting with biro is a mess.

oh,it is hard to say. it is long time to use foutain pen.when i was a junior student(9 grade) ,i often use it with my teacher's words:practice your words rightly. aha, it is a shy thing. from that on,i use biro instead. i think it is convenient. in fact, i like fountain pen.it is just unconvenient . if oneday you forget to fill it with ink... once a time,i like use fountain with blue and black mixed ink. now i use pen less . i use computer instead.

I prefer to use a pen that fits my mood. Sometimes I'll use a pen with a Parker refill. Other times, I'll use a brightly-colored or metallic gel pen. Other times, I'll throw a fit because I've used up all of my glossy paper and I'll stop writing until I get more.

Hi. hezoid. I like to use any color that is pretty on the paper as I write. I especially love Bic and Papermate pens. They write so easily onto the paper.

I never gave this so much thought until I saw your question. I type most of the time and don't write. When I do write, I use mostly pens. I like black ink. I was never into pink or red ink. Some type of pens do smudge and make a mess, even though I am not not left handed--if you don't let the ink dry fast enough it will smudge.

I love my good Bic pens..the ones I use are called Shimmers..they come in purple, pink, turquoise, and lime green..they are bright and look so pretty on paper..also, I love gel ink pens..the ink is kind of thick and milky, and on paper, it takes it a little while to dry, but they look beautiful on black paper..

I like using multi-colored ink pens... the kind with the blue, black, red, and green. It's nice to take notes with those. More colors are even better. I just like ball point pens for the most part. I'm both handed, but I don't smudge with either hand since my hand doesn't rest on the page as I write.

I like to use black or blue ball point pens. Those types of pens seem to be the smoothest to write with.
