E-Bay Sucked Me In...

While posting here at myLot, my attention often drifts to the ebay ads, either the ones at the top of the page, or in between in the posts. Well, today, I got sucked in. I am currently the winning bidder on a 1955 Gene Autry Cookbook. Now, this isn't something I need, but I was curious and thought it looked interesting, so I bid. Hubby's gonna be mad...how am I going to explain this. Have any of you gotten drawn in by the ads here on myLot and bought anything?

I have to ignore the adds no matter how tempting they are. Great that you got the cookbook! I am sure that you will get much enjoyment out of it. Tell hubby that you found it at a tag sale for cheap.

Close your eyes, look a the ceiling, keep your fingers from the keyboard. If your hand begins to move the mouse in the direction of Ebay, smack it hard!

It is almost Easter could you suggest having it as an Easter present? Could you use it to cook him up something special? Hope it goes well. I was hooked on eBay and sold quite a lot. It got to costing me more listing the items for sale than I was making selling them. Perhaps I could combine it with MyLot and get everybody to spend their earnings here on my items at eBay - now that sounds like a plan. LOL

That does sound like a plan. You and mirage could both benefit, if they showed your ebay auctions on myLot. I think it would be great. Happy posting and thank you.

Nope I haven't gotten sucked in yet and hopefully I don't. I haven't used my ebay account in a long time, but the reason behind that is a long and kind of boring story so I'll stop rambeling. Enjoy your cookbook if you win, I think it's pretty harmless and hopefully the hubby doesn't give you too much of a hard time.

yes Whats really bad is I get emails from them I'm hooked on ebay. I have even sold some stuff on there. Hubby will come and tell me often to stay off of it for a while lol I can't help it they have really good deals on stuff. I get alot of new dvd movies from ebay for a really good price. You just have to be careful and read the sellers responses

Ok, I will. I am glad to know I am not the only one. I have only bought a few other things on ebay, but not off of myLot and with hubby's prior knowledge. I am worried he's going to be mad at me. I hope not. Thanks for your response.

I have not, as I do not look at them. I'm sorry you got sucked in. Make some yummy meals, and your hubby will not be mad.

Oooooo. So I am not the only one. I have not exactly bid on anything as yet, but I am debating. It is very distracting and temlpting to have the ebay adds on here. But that must be what they are counting on, alittle impulse shopping. lol

No, haven't. I always prioritize what I need first. And only buy what I want if I got extra money. Cheer up though 'coz you can still make use of it. You better start cooking something good for your hubby out of that book. He might even be glad you bought it.

You are lucky! How many of your friends have a Gene Autrey cookbook? you may have one of the few left in existence. Just wait a week and then put it up for auction and double your money!

I notice the ones at the top more than the ones inside the discussions, but I've never been "sucked in". :P I like how they match my interests though. Sometimes I'll just find myself reading them, but I don't think I'd ever buy anything. I've never even used Ebay before.

I can get hooked on eBay at times, I always enjoy browsing everything that people put up, sometimes it's very unique and I just have to bid on it.

I have been buying on ebay for years! So it surely won't take long for it to happen to me too! So far I have been able to resist, but it'll happen in time! At least you didn't spend a huge bundle of money on some rare, expensive item! You'll surely get more than nine dollars of enjoyment from your find!

Oh yes I have been sucked in on occasion. I have bought a few things that I didn't really want or need in the past, now I have to be very strong and resist

SO far I haven't , but that doesn't mean that I won't in the future. I suppose that if I see something that interests me, I might be tempted, but so far there has been nothing that I would want :) I guess you can tell hubby that your mylot money can cover for the purchase if worse comes to worse hehe

don't worry my friend!i think it also is a heritage of the field of cooking, if you have this kind of the cookbook, you can let the "old dishes" alive . can you believe this ?it really is a kind of way cool~ trust me ,my dear friend~ Don't worry!!! i will support you forever~~~ :-)
