I just want to read a book

Usually on weekends my hubby cozies up to his Xbox 360 and I mess around on MyLot. But today I bought two new books that are just begging to be read, and I feel like I need a break from MyLot, I've been on here a lot the last couple days. Do you take a break from MyLot sometimes, kinda get a little burned out on it? What do you do when this happens? As for me, I'm gonna take advantage of the cold night, build a fire and rekindle mmy love of Steven King.

Sounds like fun, I love to read. I used to spend alot of time here, I don't anymore. You do get like that, you just need a break. Stephen King sounds like a wonderful break, have fun.

My sister found them and sent them to me, I have a bunch of them. I love Maxine, she reminds me of my gramma, an old lady with an attitude. My mom bought be a big Maxine, a vacuum cleaner cover. She was too cool to put on a vacuum, I had her sitting in a chair in the living room. My grandson once said, why does she keep looking at me, she scared him. haha.

Polly! Where did you find your avatar?! The lady at the bank my insurance agency uses has these cartoons all over her teller window and I find them hysterical, but I can never locate them anywhere else! :)

I used to read a book a week before discovering MyLot. I'm trying to divide my time between the two hobbies but I keep ending up back here. LOL

Enjoy. Steven King isn't one of my favs, I don't do gore. I really thought his "Green Mile" was a marvelous book. I have read that one three times.

I am reading "Liseys Story". It was a little slow to start but is turning into a wonderful story. I even cried at one part last night. I also enjoy Michael Crichton, but sometimes his books all seem the same. That's why I like King, all his stories are different from each other.

When I need a break from mylot, I try to read a book that I want to get involved in or go do something special with the family. But most times I just read a book or catch up on watching movies that I missed out on!

I am fairly new to mylot, but I have other things I'm checking on-line, usually a few times a day, so when I check my other sites, email etc. I usually stop by mylot and take a look around. I'm not here for the money, but it is fun to check and see what my earnings are. And there are some interesting discussions, but normally I spend the evenings with my guy, and have other things to do on the weekends. It's really not a problem for me to just not get online. So build a fire, grab a throw, and enjoy your books. Also if you like dogs, a really great read is Marley and Me.

I just finished Marley and Me about a month ago. My sis bought me this beautiful hardcover with glossy pages for Xmas. Now my oldest daughter is reading it. It is a great book.

i only spend maximum 1 hour a day on mylot everyday... so i hardly have the feeling that i don't want to be in mylot... but when i feel like that, the only thing i do is not posting or replying to any discussions... instead, i just read people's reply and enjoy myself by reading other people's discussions... or else, i just spend 30 minutes here and go to sleep after that... :-)

I do like to check on Mylot everyday, just as I check my email. But on days when I'm burnt out, I don't post much- maybe just 1 or 2 posts. Have a good break and a Happy Easter!!

I think reading is a great way to escape a lot of things. Our lights went out the weekend before last in our whole town so I couldn't get on Mylot so I grabbed a book and snuggled up in a chair and started reading by flash light. The bad thing for me is once I start reading I hate to put it down. With no lights which meant no TV my family felt I needed their company. That lasted for 4 hours while we had no lights. When the lights came back on they still thought I should want to talk to them about why the lights were out that long*L* All I wanted to do was be left alone to read. They would have left me a lone if I had been on mylot*L*

Yeah,I take a break from mylot sometimes. But this "break" is just because I have no time in mylot,I have other things to deal with. When I use my computer,I would spend most of time in mylot.I don't have much spare time,so I think I wouldn't have such a chace to "take advantage of the cold night, build a fire and rekindle my love of Steven King" or other things...But who knows what will happen if there have one day I'm not in mylot anymore...ha ha...I wish there won't be that day. Anyway,if there is a real break for me,I think I will do something I like to relax myself...

I only spend an hour or two here at Mylot. I prioritize house hold chores and my priorities in life. When I get burned out with my daily routines and my problems, I open my computer and unwind and get all these unwanted stuff inside me at my lot. Cool isn't it? Mylot is astress reliever, NOT a stressor. Hope you keep it easy.

I go through spells like that too. I love to read, and just don't feel like I get a chance to anymore. I also love to play computer games, and am reasonably addicted to pogo.com. And there for a while, I felt that the only things I accomplished online was spending a LOT of time here on Mylot, and a bit of time on a couple of other money making ventures that I have online. A couple of weeks ago, I really started feeling weighted down. I almost dreaded logging on the computer. So, I have given myself a bit of a break the last couple of weeks. And I have to say its nice. I read a book, experimented in the kitchen a bit, and watched a couple of movies. Not to say I don't enjoy my time here on Mylot, but its definitely therapeutic to take a break once in a while.

I have been lately...today is the most I've posted for a while now. I think it's just because you start to run out of discussions that appeal to you, and at first you do it sooo much that you end up making yourself get sick of it. And let's face it, the money isn't as much as you thought it would be. But even so, I really enjoy reading as well. I would recommend you doing exactly what you wanted to do, and enjoy your book!

I love Stephen King too but haven't read anything by him in a while. But yes, even though I'm not here at MyLot very often I do need to take breaks from it sometimes. Lately I've had to keep away from it because I'm going through an online editor course, but I like to spend my breaks from MyLot doing some reading or spending time outside. The weather has been so nice lately it's getting harder to spend time on the computer.

I BELIEVE (seeing I work at a bookstore) its Stephen King! What books ya reading anyways? I dont really care for his books. I only like one "Hearts in Atlantis" the movie was great and I want to one day read the book. :)) Yes its okay to take a break. Although even on break days I try for at least 10 comments per day. However, I have NOT gotten on here at least 4 times now. Its okay though. I dont worry too much. I just have to push myself at the end of month to make me goal of at least $15 per month if I get behind. So take sometime off, its early in the month. If you are set for pay enough and such go for it. I always think of this site as a nice little treat of money for me each month just a bit to have fun with. So I try to work hard for at least a little and enjoy the ride along the way. Happy reading! :))

When I need a break from mylot, I just don't post as much as on other days. Since I hit the internet every single day for various reasons, I tend to stop into mylot at least once a day and make a post or two. Lately, I have wanted to post more so I have. If I really don't feel like posting, I just skip it for a day or two.

I think we all feel the same at some point. I took a bit of a break yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. We took our trip to Bridal Falls and as strenuous as it was climbing them, it was a wonderful workout and stress reliever. It was nice to be out in the sun, and the temperature was awesome. I came back to Mylot today thoroughly freshened and ready to post. There's nothing wrong with feeling ready to take a break at times. Doing one thing repetitively can get tiring for sure.
