My heros

There maybe another discussion out there that I haven't found yet, if so, oops. But anyway, who is your biggest, real life, heros? I have several, my hubby... he's my #1, my dad has always been my hero, and my grandfather. I also have 2 others, my daughters, for being so strong, (one is married, her hubby is fighting for our freedoms) although they might think differently.

You know, this is an interesting question,no one has ever asked me this before,You know who my heroes are? Well,my heroes are 1.)the quarterback of our high school football team. Not because he was popular, and a good quarterback, but because during the years I've known him,he has always treated me,(and others)like the best of friends! And we both come from opposite sides of the "tracks"!There's just very few people like him! 2.)a girl in school that was a "rich dentists'daughter", and she always interacted with me,(and others), like there were no social barriers between us!And this surprised me,because at this time in my life,my social class was experiencing "tensions in social classes"! And this made me admire these friends of mine,to this very day!

The world could use more people like the ones you have for 'heroes'. There are too few like them. I was raised that I was no better or no less than someone else because I had/didn't have more money than them, or my skin was a different color.

Oh, yes, and every once in a while, I still run into a person like these, and it just thrills me to no end, and it rejuvenates my belief, that there are still some good human beings out there! palonghorn, how have you been doing up there in Penn.,? I'm still down here in Texas, dancing with the tornadoes,as a matter of fact, I'm expecting one over today,I noticed on the weather channel!
