When shipping, do you go with FedEx or UPS?

Having worked for UPS for a number of years, I would just as soon give my money to the folks behind FedEx, for reasons unexplained. *grin* I was merely curious as to which shipper you prefer and why? In my opinion FedEx has the better advertising, which seems to hold sway over the masses. Then again, that is just my humble opinion.

There is a UPS drop-off store with packing supplies and everything right near my house, so I use them most often when I need to ship something. I've had to shop quite a few things in the last year, and the people at the UPS store are getting to know me pretty well, and I like them.

We have UPS and FedEx here but I dont usually dont send thru them. I make use of our postal service here as the cost is much cheaper. Locally, there are lots of shipper which we can make use of.

I'm curious as to what your reasons are for not using UPS. Did you see really bad company behavior and/or policies while you were there? I would much rather use UPS over FedEx just because everytime I've used FedEx, I've had a bad experience with them. Plus they always seem to have the worst drivers who are always running me off the road

I hate using all delivery companies & try to use the Post Office where I can. Every time I arrange to have a package collected by a courier I end up sitting in for hours waiting for them, then they don't show & I have to call them & go through all the rigmarole of rebooking it etc. I just can't be bothered with it any more. Perhaps delivery companies are more efficient in the States?
