If you DISSATISFIED with a SELLER on eBAY would YOU leave NEGATIVE feeback?? |
|
What do you do when you buy something on eBay and you are dissatisfied with the Seller but not the product. It is my own fault, I should have read the feedback first before buying something, but I didn't. Now I am just ANGRY. I bought a flea product for my cats, since they are suffering with fleas this time of year, I paid immediately and requested the item to be expedited to me. In fact, I wrote to them 3 times, never a response back. The only response I did receive was that it was shipped regular mail and I would be receiving it soon. I didn't need it soon, I needed it expedited, well I responded back to only get apologies. Now he is getting nasty to me, threatening me with negative feedback, but yet, I paid with instant funds, it gets worse, I finally read the feedback only to find out he does this often, leaves negative feedback on people that leave him negative feedback, even when the person has paid with instant funds. So what would you do? Move on and forget that you ever purchased the item or take the change and leave negative feedback?

The ratings and the experiences of buyers and sellers alike is an integral part of the success of eBay whether the feedback is positive or negative. If I were you, I would leave your comments on the seller's profile and also send eBay the threat emails that the seller is sending you as if it comes to a false negative comment on your profile, eBay has the ability to remove the comment if justified.

If you are unhappy with the seller then you should leave negative feedback. At the end of the day it is only a little red dot on a page, it won't hurt you and if you are calm and factual about the transaction then people will be able to see who is in the wrong.

As long as you avoid name-calling and insulting the seller too directly, it shouldn't cause any problems for you. Heck, I've even seen people create websites on Geocities and write huge rants about the other party, then just post the link there in the feedback section with something like "Didn't have enough room, so see [URL]."

Perhaps you can post it somewhere else. Like if he has a blog, or you could start a blog on your profile there explaining the situation. That way people will know why you got the negative feedback.

5. mirage108 (2790) | 2 years ago | Well if that happened to me. I am an eBay seller also. As a Seller I dont leave feedback untill feedback is left for me. But as a buyer If I liked the product but didnt like the seller due to his actions. I would not leave any feedback or at least leave a neutral feed Stating that you recieved product as described but didnt care for the seller's attitude.

If your ebay account is full of positives this will not effect your record too much. Also people tend to take alook at the person's account that has left you a negative and will soon see that he is not a good seller and it wasnt your fault (I have an ebay feedback of over 7000, just in case you are wondering!)

9. semak76 (165) | 2 years ago | Of course you leave negative feedback if he didnt uphold his end of the bargain. don't worry about the consequences, you can dispute if he leaves something bad for you.many people do check the feedback rating before doing business, and you should warn other people about him.

10. linzmcwilliams (1124) | 2 years ago | Does it cost extra to post the item in the way you wanted? If it does i wouldn't blame him. If he stated in the item description or postage section that items would be shipped in the normal post then he does not HAVE to do anything other than that. Sure, it would be nice if he would but he is not breaking your "contract". For that reason i don't think it would be reasonable for you to leave negative feedback. I'm sorry if if got it wrong, i'm not familiar with the US postal service. Also i don;t really think it matters that you sent the money quickly, no doubt you will be getting the same treatment as everyone else.

akuseru (1697) | 2 years ago | You're certainly right. Expedited shipping does cost more in the US, so I can understand why the seller would be unwilling to ship an item by Priority or Express--especially if the postage had been paid for already. Had I been in that seller's position, I probably would have sent a response with a quote for the more expensive postage, and explained that I could only send it by first class mail if the buyer was unwilling to pay the extra fee. It's always best to confirm that a seller will expedite shipping before making the purchase, but if it's something that you*need* to have expedited, it might just be easier and cheaper to go to the store and pick it up there to avoid hassles with shipping.
