Golden Girls!!! I like Designing Women when it first came out but after a couple of seasons it just went waaay downhill for me. Too much preachin and I don't think the scripts were as good after the 2nd season. I think the writers were reaching too hard. The Golden Girls held onto the character and atmosphere of the show much better. Besides, I just Love Betty White!

So true! And Designing Womens' dialogue is all monologues. One would give a preachy speech, then the next would give a preachy speech, then another would tell a long story, then the other would give a preachy speech... Still, it has its moments.

Golden Girls...never cared for Designing Women..my mom was a fan of both when I was growing up though

How could anyone hate The Golden Girls? I can understand hating Designing Women (even though I like it sometimes), but Golden Girls? Why do you not like it?
