Would you read a book for its cover art? |

| I'm really guilty of browsing a bookstore and always picking up the books with the best cover art. All too often, fancy art doesn't necessarily mean it's a good book. Granted, sometimes good books have good cover art too... | | | | | |

| | No I won't read a book for the art on the cover. But I do read what is on the cover and if it sounds good I will read it then. Nice discussion thoughl. I like to read good books. But it has to have something on the back cover that really intrest me. | | | | | | |

| | Cover art may catch my eye but I will not buy a book or even loan one from the library just on looks alone. I always read the back or inside flap before I decide whether I want to read it or not. There are some books that have no description of the story at all - usually paperpacks that just have quotes from other authors who have read the book. Unless it is an author I am familiar with and know I will like, I won't buy it/loan it if there is no story description. You can't judge a book by its cover. (Sorry, had to say it!) | | | | | | |

| | Cover art is not the only criteria to choose a book. The popularity, subject depth and welfare facts in it are of prime importance and criteria of choice. Books chosen with these criteria in view are the most useful ones forever. thanks. | | | | | | |

| | When searching and buying books online, many times i don“t even look at the cover of the book, mainly i look through the reviews, and the books descripton, however when book shoopping in a bookstore with no particular title in mine, I guess i am influenced by a great cover art, especially when fishing trough a great number of titles, even if not completely decisive, it makes me read the back cover. | | | | | | |

| | No. I'm usually choosing a book by author, or a review. If I don't know anything about the author I'm paging the book a bit before to decide. Anyway, I have to admit a total trash hardly has a good cover art. | | | | | | |

| | If a person really loves reading a book, he will not look at the books cover just to know if that book is a good or a bad one. Instead, he will just read it just to fullfil his hobbies that are calling his attenion wjich is reading a book. But I do can`t deny sometimes that I do look at every books cover and pick the book that has a good art cover.... what a heck...... | | | | | | |
