Do you agree with the China tradition of wee feet? It's something that I can't understand... why do such a thing tp women feet?

I don't know exactly what the deal is, but I think they wrap them or something to prevent them from growing, but they usually end up deformed.

Lotus feet - ex-rays of lotus bound feet.
I do not agree with foot binding. It is a horrible practice I’m glad that it was stopped when Manchu Dynasty was toppled in 1911. It was a very painful process and made prisoners of the upper class women since they could not walk more than a few feet unaided. The little girl’s toes would be bent back into the foot and the arches were broken and this was bandaged to hold it in place. The toes often fell off as there was no blood circulation. These feet were considered sexy. The feet or what was left of them were called lotus feet. In the end they were only about 3 inches long. A girl found it very difficult to marry if she did not have lotus feet The working peasants did not bind their girls feet as it would be impossible for her to work in the fields.
