Has Anyone Written for Wikipedia?

You have just reminded me that I registered for Wikipedia a while back but have never written anything for it. There was an article I read in a newspaper the other day that was saying that something had been edited and changed and had become misinformation. And then there was a case of somebody famous (can't remember who) had had their own life story so distorted that it had become extremely upsetting for them and they were going to sue.
I don't know how true that is, but it certainly puts what could be an excellent data-base into a different light. Although they do say that there is no such thing as bad publicity.. I will have to take another look a the site.

Hi cher913 - I often use wiki as well but I keep in mind its quite subjective as the authors could be anyone!

Anyone who can write can become member of www.wikimmunity.org, a subsidiary of wikipedia. They invite articles of interest which is not found in wikipedia - local interesting facts historic or current and one gets paid $3 to $5 per writeup. I became a member, but still I am unable to concentrate on writing, though I have a lot of stuff to write with pictures. You can try

Wikipedia is such a gr8 site.. It has helped me a lot with my project work at school and during my college days.. Though I have written for it, I surely know there's a method to write in it.. But u need to have original content in order to write on it, otherwise it will be deleted withing 24 hrs...

Yes, lots of people have written for Wikipedia. Therefore Wikipedia has no validity, as if anything ever written by any human has ever had any validity whatsoever to begin with.
