How Did the Tractor Get to the Island? |
| |
| Explain how the tractor got there? You are on an island in the middle of a lake. The lake is in a remote part of the country and there has never been a bridge connecting the island to the mainland. Every day a tractor and wagon gives hay rides around the island. Puzzled as to how the tractor had gotten onto the island, you ask around and find out that the tractor was not transported to the island by boat or by air. Nor was it built on the island. ************************************************** I will check back once a day but will not post Best Response to the first one who gets it right until I either have sufficient answers to merit it or at least a week has gone by so as to give those who like riddles a chance to see it and enter their answer. | | Tractor | | | | |

| | Here's one possibility, my lady. That island wasn't an island originally. Someone just drove it over when it was still connected by land. But subsequently, the low lying area around the current island got submerged so the island materialized and the tractor is left stranded. What a poor tractor lol. :P | | | | | | |

| | I was on "sabbatical" contemplating my navel. I have been under the impression that many (with the exception of you and other dear friends) have blackballed my postings because of my idiotic misuse of the word "boycott" in one of my postings. But I am back, at least for a while to see if things change. I also found that the quality of the postings for debate has deteriorated in number. However, I do try to remain loyal to members of my friends list and answer as many as I think I have something to add to. Always nice to see you Your Grace.....you always seem to have a happy input to my postings and help make any of my days. | | | |

| | I have to be honest and say that I don't remember what you are talking about. What's wrong with "boycott"? :P You are a precious gem on my friend's list. Other than licking your toes, I shall endeavor to please you. ;-) | | | |

| | rofl. The posting was about how I picked myLoters for my friends list. My purpose of the post was to explain to some of those who I had included in my list were later deleted. I merely pointed out (or at least tried to) that if people didn't seem to think that commenting on others' (not just mine) responses was necessary then I wasn't going to take precious time away from those friends who did and would "boycott" any future requests to be added to my list based on this premise. Since then I have had fewer responses to my postings and from some who were (I thought) regular contributors. It's not a big deal but I just didn't, and don't, think it is fair to deny or delete any request for a friend without some explanation. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/903712.aspx in case you want to refresh your memory. Actually I believe it is the posting that I received the most responses to. Had you responded earlier you might have gotten best response but that was given to response #29. Your response was #34. | | | |

| | Oh you mean THAT discussion. Wasn't that the same discussion from where I first knew you? I had to bark like a dog and then whine like a puppy because you would accept my friend request. Sniff... where went my pride... And yes, I will not comment on that discussion. But if you make me angry in future, I shall bump up all your old discussions and make a mess of your life. MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! | | | |

| | Well, since there are now three of you I will have to give the best response to the one who got it right....which is you arkaf although you don't know it. Yes, the water froze in the winter and the tractor was driven across the ice. So now you can stop being baffled and get a good night's sleep. Thanks for staying in there. | | | |

| | I'm glad I didn't wait any longer to inform you of your "winning". Wouldn't want to be known as the one who drove you mad before your time. I do have a couple more of those stuffed away somewhere in a file on a floppy but it might take me a while to find them. Meantime, you have a nice day too. + | | | |

| | Nothing was mentioned about a tide so I assume that the tractor was in the middle of a lake. Bood thinking though. Always nice to see you EB. | | | |
