Did you hear? They are so successful, that ABC has ordered a pilot for a comedy featuring 30-something cavemen struggling with predjudice in modern-day Atlanta! Can you believe it? Is there enough interest or even enough ideas to make them into a series? I saw this blurb in Newsmax magazine. I guess the ad execs who came up with the original idea are patting themselves on the back.

I heard about that probably about 6 months ago. It is suppose to be a huge flop.

I understand that, but the idea was announced a long time ago. I remember reading it in the Sunday paper around Christmas time back when it was just an idea. The pilot for the show was approved back in March. I can't believe ABC is going to go through with this, especially with all of the negative buzz on the internet.

They must be happy over at Geico. Someone, somewhere along the line had to have been receiving some emails or letters regarding this, or they wouldn't have thought to make a series out of it. It may be funny, maybe not. But with all the other stuff they are putting on Tv lately, why not the cavemen too. Can't be any worse than some of the drivel currently on there.

I look forward to seeing the Cavemen in their new series. I told my wife that I wish that I could take the Cavemen to church somewhere with me. Would the people at the church mistreat them, the way that they mistreated me and my family(including out hanicapped son)?

Oh my! I'm so sorry. But it is a fact that people do tend to judge people by what they see. And if they look "different" they treat them different out of ignorance or fear. And we tend to stare at what we are unaccustomed to being around. Not our best traits to say the least! I hope you found another church where the people were loving and accepting of all of you!

Lol, I'm looking forward to seeing it. It should be pretty funny AND interesting.
This must be making history too..a tv show..spin off story arc from a commercial? I don't think I've ever heard of that happening before.
Do you think that people will like the shoe enough that it'll last more than one season?

The commercials are pretty funny, but who ever thought those would turn into a tv series?! I might download an episode or two to check it out, though I highly doubt I would stick to it even if it is funny. The concept might get old real quick.

That is too funny. I wonder if it will be a hit. The caveman commercials are pretty unique to say the least. I'll be the actors who play the cavemen never expected this to come out of just acting in a commercial! I will have to watch it at least once just for curiousity's sake.

I like the commercials but I really can't see them in a tv series. I just don't know how they will come up with enough ideas for plots and scripts. I don't know if there will be enough interest in this to make it go well, and to keep it going. I would probably watch one episode to see what it was like but I wouldn't be interested in watching a whole series of them. Thanks for sharing this with us.

This is so cool. I like them in the commercials so maybe they will be as good in the shows. We are pleased that they will be in a show. Hope it does well, since we like alot of things that don't often stay around long.

I get the concept of the caveman and Geico, but as a television sitcom? I don't know if this is going to fly or not. I will definitely have to watch the pilot episode to see how it goes before I commit to watching it lol.

I had heard something about this. It should be intersting to see what kind of ideas they can come up with to make a series out of the cavemen.

I wouldn't be so fast to pat themselves on the back if I were them. I don't even like the cavemen in the commercial and I sure wouldn't watch a program designed around them. On the other hand if they did up a program around the gecko I would definitely watch it. I think that little critter is the funniest commercial and I love hearing him talk.
