What Program do you use to Write? |
| |
| I've been using the standard Word Perfect 12, and have no complaints, but then recently came across Microsoft Word, and have been tring it out a little, I'm not sure I like it as well, but then I'm not use to it either... What do you use, and is there one out there that is the cat's meow, that I haven't heard of? what would you recommend. | | | | | |

| | I use Microsoft Word. I like it much better than word perfect. It's easy to use, once you get used to it. Kelly | | | | | | |

| | With MS Word, I do like that it's easy to see, the size is much nicer. And I like that the word count is at the bottom of the screen. . . . But I'm use to Word perfect checking my spelling as I go (I like that feature, saves time). | | | |

| | I use Microsoft Word and I also use Microsoft Works but I have never use Word Perfect 12. In my opinion, Microsoft Works is easier to use than Microsoft Word. | | | | | | |

| | Oh gosh.. I thought word perfect has been phased out big time. :P It's good that you stumbled upon word... By the way, you can get openoffice which is the free source equivalent of microsoft word. It is free and available at www.openoffice.org . I use either one of these 2 when I need to type long or official stuffs. But normally, I just type on the browser or fire up notepad. | | | | | | |

| | I have used a number of "writing" programs and tool kits but I prefer Microsoft Word. I find that writing programs are more work than they're worth. If I want to organize my thoughts I do that on paper and/or index cards which actually brings me to my favorite way to write and that is back to basics "pen and paper". I don't need a lot of bells and whistles. I usually start with pen and paper than type everything I write into MS Word. I either edit right in MS Word or print out a hard copy, edit and return to the program for corrections. | | | | | | |

| | I do the same, I carry a notebook. But chapter by chapter I type my work into the computer, making adjustments as I go, then I print it out and go back over it, correcting or editing whatever I feel needs adjusting. Then go back in and change it. | | | |

| | I too usually write on paper/in a notebook, and then type it on the screen from there, editing as I go. Print it out and edit some more. Continue process endlessly. | | | |
