A Dying Person - Have you ever been a witness to one?  

oh thats really sad and i am damn lucky that i didnt have to witness such a thing yet i dont even want to its really hard to loose a very close friend of yours anyways i just have one small suggestion pls dont open topics like his which gives you post this way its really sad and i think you should not even talk about it. Cause if i would i would have a lot of pain to even think about it. Take care.

I had witnessed my moms death at the hospital where the doctor told us that she will not stay any longer.Just same thing happen to me at exactly 3:00 A.M. where the oxygen indicator attached to my mom reached zero.It was still fresh to my memory and deep in my heart I will never forget that incident for I lose a dear love one in front of me.

I have too. the twin brother of my eldest daughter, unluckly he has a serious illnes when he reached one year and half years old he has lukemia. We already lived in the hospital for a month and before he reached there two year old b-day he is already gone. I saw the time when he almost reached his last breath and I feel like he hug me through his spirits and suddenly release into my body, I felt I'm going to fall when I felt that It's really weird but I know he hug me and say goodbye. Until now when I still remember that the feelings are still the same.

I am sorry that you had to see such things as I know it is a very hard thing to watch. I have seen several people die because I use to work as a volunteer EMT for my local ambulance service. Most of the time they were old people but once I had a two month old baby that died. I tried everything I could to save that baby but it was too late. And then I saw my father die. He was very sick and struggling to breathe. I held his hand,told him that I loved him and then he took his last breath. Those are things that I will never forget either.

Sorry to hear your mum died too.
I have never seen a person die .
It must be very difficult to be there and know that they are leaving .
I know what you mean about the memories being with you always.

yes, when i was 8 years old i had witnessed the last hours of my grand mother. its too painful at that time since she 's very close to us.

When my grandfather was in the hospital, I was there. I was 19 years old. I had dreamed about his death three times before it happened. I think God was preparing me for what was about to happen. He died quietly and peacefully. Yet, I will never forget a single detail about that day especially his beautiful smile.

Recently, I was present when my mother-in-law passed away. She had cancer and had been sick for a long time. She passed away at 5:55 p.m. At the far end of the house, an electric clock quit running while all other electrical items did not. Three hours later, that clock started running again. I think this was her way of telling us when she arrived at heaven's gate. Definitely, an experience I will not forget any time soon.

My former roommate's mother collapsed at my feet as I tried to help her one morning. I grabbed the phone & called 911 & tried to help her, but I lack the strength to pull her up or even straighten her. The emergency rescue people came & tried the shock to restart her heart, but she went. I may not have actually been in the room when she passed, but I was there for most of it & was sitting with her daughter when they came & told us. It was quite a shock.

I study in a medical school and have postings in emergency unit atleast once in three months or so.I have seen some death in front of my eyes.I have even seen persons dying in the ward when we were working up some other patient nearby.I think this will become part of life of us now and mostly in the future.
