The following are possible stories for my Haven short story collection. Tales of a world in which disabled people have been mostly eliminated, although there is, of course, resistance. 1. The story of Adam and Wade... Two identical twin brothers, one with very severe Cerebral Palsy; one able-able-bodied. Adam, who can't speak much verbally (yes, no, a couple of words) and uses a liberator to communicate and gestures as well as an electric wheelchair. Wade and his father pay a lot of fees to keep Adam alive and living at home, but eventually even their riches cannot save him. 2. The story of Darien and Olin- Two gay men, one Normal and one of short stature, who are in love with each other, but because each of them carry disability related genes, they are not sure they afford to be gay and waste their genetic material. 3. The story of Angie, an attic dweller, whose Normal parents bring her to Heaven for medical treatment. Will she be willing to give up her newfound freedom and return to her attic life? 4. The story of Anna, a courier with Celiac Disease, who lives in fear of being of being found out or becoming ill because she must cheat on her diet to avoid being found out 5. The story of Reyna Anderson, she has Congenital Insensitivity to Pain (a disease which causes people to feel no pain at all, even after horrible injuries; they loose limbs, eyes, whatever) she's married to Reilly Santos who has Epidermolysis Bullosa (a blistering disease in which 25 to 50 of body in 2nd degree burn like blisters all the time). After Reilly succumbs to his disease, Reyna tries to destroy herself. The people of Haven try to help her, but how can you help someone who can't feel physical pain deal with the worst emotional pain possible, especially if they're hell bent on destroying themselves? 6. An XP story (a story about people wuth a severe sun blistering disease; they can die if exposed to direct sun) about discovery by the government that leads to their murder. What do you think?

One or two of those stories alone'd be enough to get me to read the whole thing. It's a unique idea..without being too dramatic, an with ahealthy amount of angst. I say that makes a great book, hun.
