Cleaning Keyboards  

I have never actually spilled anything on the keyboard really. I use that can of air that blows all of the dust and crumbs or whatever that accumulate over time. That seems to work best if I turn the keyboard upside down and blow the air into it. It did get to the point where my keys would stick too. Good luck getting that gunk out! I know it is a pain!

I have to clean my keyboard all the time because I eat a lot of chocolate and cookies while surfing the net. I turn my keyboard upside down to get most of the crumbs out and then wipe it down and that pretty much does the trick.

You are lucky the keyboard did not get shocked when you spill a drink on it. I had one experience and I had to use a hairdryer to dry it as the keys keep going haywire. As for cleaning the keyboard, I used to do it annually using toothpaste or gif powder, just need to be a bit careful with the letters being wiped clean. LOL.

i have taken mine completely apart from removing the screws on the back. it can be a little risky though, i put one back together and it didn't work but that could have been because of the drink that was spilled on it. but i wiped everything down with those electronic cleaning wipes, which i think is just basically alchohol but who really knows.

I havent really cleaned my keyboard that often but Ive heard steam cleans it up pretty well. If you have a steam machine for your clothes, you can use that for your keyboard as well. It will do the job pretty good.

Mostly, I wipe that dusts off my keyboard. But when cleaning it, I usually use furniture polish/wipes. I think it works for me, as I also stain my keyboards with foods that get stuck on the keys and between it.

My kids are hard on my computer set up. I've gone through 4 keyboards last year alone. I have one that is water/liquid resistant and had it for almost 9 months now.

I shut my computer down and take a washrag with a degreaser or citrus bases and wash all the keys down and q-tip between them.

The last time I cleaned mine - I needed a new one when I was done. Noone in my house was happy with me so I look forward to what others say. I used windex and a toothbrush to get in between the keys.

I clean mine often and i shake it out and than i use alochol and qtios to clean it with ,im always amazes at what comes off this thing I have never taken one apart the dang thing would probley never work again if i did but i have about 6 extras seems according to hubby i am addicted to jeyboards, whenever we go somewhere i always look for another one.

No havent but my son uses Qtips and rubbing acahol(sp) on every thing cleans it better and faster
