Do You Always Have Your Speakers On   

I usually keep my speakers off. I have headsets and I do not like to disturb anyone so if I am learning a language or want to listen to music while surfing, I will use them. I have not listened to anything lately, two computers in the same room, husband who uses his speakers. Get the idea?

I try to keep them off because I live in an apartment. I don't want anyone to find a reason to complain about me. I've left them on before and got onto someone's mylot profile, and was blasted with loud music - at 2am in the morning!

I agree, it's too distracting to have them making silly noises every two minutes, especially if I'm trying to concentrate on my work. So nope, nein, non and definitely not!

I rarely have on my speakers, sacmom. I really have no need for them. I do like to listen music while being online, but I use satellite radio for that. About the only time that I turn on the speakers is when I am instant messaging, and also doing something else like cooking, and then I know that a friend has responded, and I can do likewise.

If I turn my speakers off I"ll forget and then wonder why my sound isn't working later when I want/need the sound!

So I usually just leave them on to keep it easy on myself and my forgetful brain!

I have them off all the time..I very rarely have them on, I dont even really think about putting them on..

It can be quite annoying when you encounter a site that insists on playing audio as soon as the page opens, although fortunately this is not as common as it used to be.

I always have them on since some important warning chimes come up only on audio especially when first turning the computer on. I live alone and don't have to worry about anyone else. Also, I frequently play a video or music and I would have to keep remembering to turn them on each time if I normally kept them off. Sometimes the sound is the only way I will notice that a pop-up has gotten through and allow me to close it as quick as possible.

No, I do not keep my speakers on while working on computer. I feel it is kind of distraction and I prefer concentrating on discussions, instead listening to music.
