Okay before anyone searches it, yes this thread has been done.
But if you find the thread, you'll find out why I have the right to start this thread :)

Anyhoo, time for the discussion. This thread is about ultimate marriage proposals or just some decent marriage proposals you've seen. You can also share how your hubby/wife proposed to you.

My listing. **Warning** Long List ahead **Warning**

[Idea 1] - Bakers Dozen of Bliss
Put the wedding ring at the center of a rose in a banquet of roses. If you are worried about her(or him) not seeing it, do something to draw attention. A bouquet of red roses with a special white one in the center (humans are curious creatures, its sure to work). Or you can use her favorite flower in the bouquet in place of the white rose (1, 2 or 3 should work, she'll find it) You can also use a card too. Make it short but powerful and loving. Good luck:)

[Idea 2] - Ninja
Call up your future spouse say you are on the way. Be STEALTHY in your approach, park a bit further away if you are driving. Put the ring in an celebration/invitation style envelope. Also put one of the following inside too
* A heartfelt poem declaring your love and intent
* An fake but plausible invitation to the wedding of Mr and Mrs[name];p
* A note or keepsake probably the first thing you did/first date or a special item
Put the envelope/ring in the mailbox (leave it open) and have the note out or use the mail slip (or you can just put it on the threshhold. Knock on the door. Run away and find a place to hide. Watch your spouse open the note and slowly approach the door. I would follow up on the note or item you put in and declare the true proposal then too. Good luck, I hope she/he likes it.

[Idea 3] - Cyberspace
Send your future spouse several emails and have one word in each subject line. The idea is to have the email subject lines spell out your message. You can also lead it as you wish.

You can also customize parts especially the email with the final part of your chain message. A pic of the wedding ring will do fine. Remember, you want to send the last parts of this message FIRST otherwise it comes out backwards. Also make sure to show up sometime soon, spouses wanna see the real thing! Oh and if you know your future spouses email is spam conducive you may not wanna try this

[Idea 4] - Big Confession
Use a big banner on your house, apartment, etc. Make it say a powerful and meaningful message. Remember, your future spouse is looking for a powerful and bold confession, you are trying not just to win the heart, but to win it for life. Just make sure you get a variance since many city zoning laws probably don't allow you to do this alone. Or you can just do it and hope no one catches you.

[Idea 5] - The Sky
Skywrite it. Not much to say on this, but if its a clear day or a very special day and conditions are right, try it. Take your beloved to a special place of your choice. Close the eyes and open them when the message is ready. It also adds effect if you have the ring right there so you can quickly show it when your beloved is done reading the message. Good luck:)

[Idea 6] - Food for the heart and soul.
Cook your beloved's favorite meal or an elegant meal that's truly something. Go through a lot of effort. On their dish, put the ring on the edge of the plate and make it so when you present it that your beloved will see the ring once they start digging in. You can follow up with your declaration of choice, I'd say "I really love you[name], I can't stand a second longer without you completely. Though it might be quaint, I wouldn't mind cooking for you for the rest of your life. Will you marry me?" Uh... do not put the ring directly in the food -_- things can get "problematic".

[Idea 7] - Mr. Neck Bling
Wear a necklace each day when seeing your beloved for this week. Give your beloved the necklace (doesn't have to be expensive, just something for show and chaining). Repeat for the next 5 days, bring it to the 6th day. Now on the seventh day, get another necklace or chain and put the wedding ring on it. Your beloved might not notice at first since you've been wearing odd chains recently, but when she takes a better look...then its your cue.:)

[Idea 8] - Kidnap and Getaway!!
Clean out your glove box and put in it the wedding ring, a card or a poem of love and perhaps a special present. Pick your beloved up from work. Talk about what you've both been through over the years (or months) and talk about how much you love your beloved. Tell her to search the glove box. Let her read the note and see the ring. Follow up on the card verbally. Also if you got a special prize in there, like tickets to Hawaii or something you can also make this a teasing joke. You are kidnapping both your future spouse and her heart.:)

[Idea 9] - RPG Quest: well not really, but there are some steps though:)
Ship a package or mail this to your beloved. The contents, bright white envelope with a kid's wedding ring and your declaration from the heart. And a play version of tiara and white veil. Declare your love in the note but remember to put that if she wants the real deal, make her bring back the kid's ring and the play veil. When your beloved arrives again, confess your heart and your intent. Also when she/he says yes then you can reveal the real ring and place it on. You can even put on the fake ring and veil after for fun:) Call it making the whole thing more memorable for both parties.

[Idea 10] - The "Plunge"
Bungee from a bridge along side a banner that unveils the bold confession. Make sure to be careful.>< Don't be too close to the banner, but make sure to rig it so it will unfurl as you are plummeting. You can yell whatever going down, but it'll probably serve you better to yell you love your future spouse "THISSSSSS MUUUUUUUCH!!!!"[/echo];p It also shows her you are ready for the plunge.


[Idea 11] - The eternal gift
Test her(or his depending on your perspective) love and attention to the gifts you give. A few weeks or months before, give her flowers, a card from the heart and a special trinket, make sure you keep a copy for yourself. (I have a penchant for birds like doves so you can try that, or try her favorite animal, flower, item, etc). Keep your copy and equip it with the wedding ring so its obvious on sight, but make sure to keep it hidden from her. A few weeks or months later, mail a card that says part of your love confession, and bring the item I gave you on that endless[insert season here] day/night to a location you specify. Make sure to put in a clue of what she should be bringing, but don't make it too obvious. If she brings back the dove/item, continue with the rest of your bold confession and show her you have a copy of item and show her you really mean to be together. Have her check your copy and she'll find the ring. All of this should convince her you really do want to be together, plus it shows her the amount of effort you are willing to go through to have her.

[Idea 12]- Pet Lovers.
(Sigh...if she doesn't like pets, try this at your own risk)
If she's been pining for a pet, get it for her in due time. Make sure to set it and the ring up perfectly though. For kittens and puppies, put it on their collar. Make sure the ring's attachment to the collar is tight in case something happens. Haven't seen it personally but anything is possible. When she opens the box/pen and sees the pet she'll pet it and look at the collar for a nametag (most times). Otherwise the shiny gem on the collar should be enough to merit attention. When she sees what it is, then thats your cue for your proposal. You can also hatch this plan with the local petstore owner to add dramatics. Also, take the pet home so you don't shoot yourself in the foot on this one;p

[Idea 13]: Yea unlucky 13...but hopefully this idea turns it around
Christmas. (Of course if you don't believe or celebrate, skip this one. Unless...)

Okay on to the idea. Get her the common christmas presents and such, but make decorating the tree an event with her. Any size tree can work, but smaller trees work with this idea better. (Less area to deal with;p).
Lightly decorate the tree with some items, but make sure there is plenty of spacing and only a few items, ones that don't attract so much attention. You wanna make it look like you started just a bit waiting for her to join you. The trick part! Take a white string (with or without a tag/small card at the end. Put the ring on it and hang it as a decoration. Have the tag note say your powerful confession. When she comes over to help decorate, have her look over the tree to see your "efforts". She should see the white string and tag, along with the ring and note. Merry Christmas, and Congratulations:)

[Idea 14] - Movie Night
Invite your beloved over to watch a movie with you. Something new on DVD she hasn't seen or something she likes to see on DVD. When she's over, make her comfortable and start the disc. Leave the disc case near her. (You can stay in the room or leave it for effect, to leave her alone with what is gonna happen next). The DVD you put in, its rigged. Premade by you with a few memories of your time with your beloved and the bold confession by you on video. You can make the excuse on tape that you are shy getting the feelings out.:) Motion her to open the case after the confession is done, show the ring in the dvd case and pop the question. Enjoy the sunrise and your first step together.:)

[Idea 15] - Stay Over
Ask your beloved to stay the night. Get a piece of red string or white rope ahead of time. When your beloved is nice and asleep, tie
