Do you think I'm a bad daughter? |
|
Here's the situation, I am working with a very low salary but I don't give all of my salary to my parents. I only give a part of it to my mom and then the rest I keep for myself and deposit it in the bank. I don't buy anything for myself, I just save my earnings and give the rest to them. Do you think that I'm a bad daughter because I don't give all of my earnings, even if life is hard these days?

12. mesmerized (755) | 3 years ago | in my tradition, the first salary usually goes to the parents. but now, it varies from family to family. but giving everytime you receive your salary is way too kind of you. unless of course there was an arrangement that you should. in case you are the bread winner (which actually looks like it), it's not selfish to keep some for yourself. if you intend to spend it on something useful, then go. you're not a bad daughter, enjoy your salary. you earned it.=)

14. funny52f (5136) | 3 years ago | The fact that you are giving them a share of your salary every payday already means that you are a good daughter. Probably you only need to explain to them that you are building your savings for the future.

15. limcyjain (3320) | 3 years ago | Well i think your parents are very fortunate to have a daughter like you. In this world who cares for their parents. Not even when they are very rich. They are engaged in their own world. Moreover you are saving for your future which is very important for you and they would also love to know that you are not overspending.

16. Sharon38 (1051) | 3 years ago | You are a good person dont sweat it. Saving is good because that is what helped me when I decided to go out on my own.
I used to live with my Aunt and it is as if everyone sat down waiting on my money. I would buy food and by the next day everything has been consumed. I got fed up and just moved out. Now if I dont have any food I just deal with it and dont worry. You will make it girl youhave the right heart.
God bless

sid556 (10762) | 3 years ago | yes but at 21 she is an adult herself. She should be contributing to expenses some...just not all of her salary. Parents should be helping her to be independent from them for they won't always be their to provide for her. She should not be obligated to provide for her nor her for them. It should be fair
