oh so your niece and nephew will be celebrating their birthday this september??
i havent started my christmas shopping too, im just starting on my list of my goddaughters and godsons. LOL they're so many i have to keep a list or i'll lose track!^__^;;

Actually, my niece and nephew will be celebrating their birthdays on the first week of October=) I have many Godchildren too, sometimes I even forget the names of some (Is that bad?, hope I won't forget anyone on my list. Have a nice day secretbear!

i forget some of my god children's names too. LOL its kinda shameful but hey, what can we do? they're too many to remember all the names! right?^__^;; that most shameful thing that happened to me was when i really forgot one of them that i didnt buy any gift for her! hahaha.. i ended up giving her money which i dont prefer. i prefer to give gifts that i looked so hard for.^__^

tax reporting?? what is that? what does it have to do with christmas? it sounds ugly.^__^;;

Here in the US our income taxes are due in April, and some people do wait unti the last minute to pay them, but I always start getting my paperwork ready right after Christmas. Since they take money out of our pay every month, sometimes we get money back instead of paying more, but it is still nobody's favorite way to spend time and the rules get more complicated every year.

oh.. i see... its on april here too. i mean, the paying of taxes. but same as with your country, they prepare the needed docs up to the last minute. but i think no one here, or maybe just a few, thinks about taxes just after christmas. christmas is extended until the first sunday of january and the holiday madness extends like until february. LOL

yeah that's our usual practice. We had it since childhood so now that i am married and have a family on my own i still adopt that practice.

Well, sometimes im thinking to have it early as possible so that i can enjoy more on watching the decorations. But that still a plan... and not coming true. hehehee... Maybe i try it this time and maybe it will work.

Christmas is really a happy season. By just hearing the christmas carols and looking at christmas decors and the christmas lights it somehow uplifts our sadness. It can make our lives more colorful and hope for something better would happen to our lives!

awww.. Christmas really does good things like that right? it doesnt only lift our spirits, it brings back our memories of childhood where we enjoy christmas as innocent kids.^__^

Its me again.:) yeah, exactly it also brings the childhood memories in us. It's just a pretty amazing feeling, commemorating our past and the the childhood we had.

I really love to attend christmas parties, Manito & manita, had carolings with my friends and my most awaited part at christmas is the giving and exchanging of gifts.:)

Plus when we stay good for the whole year there's also a gift coming from Santa. Hhehehehe... That's my favorite memories during my childhood.

I really love being a child. Sometimes i can go back to being a child. No problems... No worries... Not a all. Just like you said so innocent.:)

i loved exchanging gifts too. the most memorable i got from school was a small stuff toy and a miniature cabinet with a mirror inside.^__^
we used to go carolling too. but when i reached fourth grade i stopped going with my friends. i started becoming embarassed.^__^;;
but when i went to college and join an organization, i went with my orgmates when we do our christmas carolling to raise funds.^__^

I think everybody had their share of sweet memories of christmans when were still a child. I think the spirit of christmas and christmas tales Like santa clause who gives a rewards and gifts to children who are behaving for the whole year round is a living legacy that would pass through generations to generations.

It's wonderful and sweet stories of christmas are forever cherished and cannot be erased in our hearts and minds as long as we shall lived.

yeah.. i remember waiting for santa to fly by our window with his sleigh and rudolph and the rest of the reindeers! too bad i was always asleep when he passes by! LOL but he'd always leave a lot of coins in my bed so what the heck.. thank you santa!^__^;; it was sad when i discovered it was actually my mother who did it! LOL

Hahahaha... yes indeed. We were told of santa who actually give presents to children behaving well and then we will just find out that its our mother doing it. Well in my case it was my granny who is my santa clause!:)

Though santa is not real but i always cherish its tales and the memories of santa whoin real life was my grandmother.:)

I treasure all those santa tales too, and our own little christmas hopes that santa would put something nice inside our socks.^__^;; I think we only hang socks once coz the next day, we discovered it beside us with some coins in it. we probably thought santa was trying to tell us that he couldn't put it back up. LOL

Santa's tales always live in my hearts probably until i become a grandmother too. Hahahha... guess santa's too tired on hanging it back to where it was placed. So he was settled to left it beside us. Ohhh im sorry to hear bout that but i guess a story of good memories about your garandfather and grandmother has been told to you by your parents. What is important is that they always live in our memories.

oh.. yeah. there are few stories told to us regarding our grandparents. all i can stay is that they were strict but kind and hardworking people. too bad there arent any pictures of them, as far as i know.^__^

ohhh you remind me of that!:) Im planning to have an amnesia about it or im gonna play hide and seek with them. hahahha...This is the reason why i have a little apphrehension everytime Christmas Season is coming and wish that i can just skip this godchildren thing. hehhehe..

I have eight godchildren all in all. My favorite among them is my "twins inaanak" Just to both of them i think im gonna go bankrupt.LOL.

LOL i used to play hide and seek with my godchildren too! but that was when i was still a student when all i can buy are cheap gifts and my financial source would be my mom.^__^;;

you have a twin godchildren?? wow. pinakyaw mo na a.^__^;; one of my godsons which is my friend's son has a little brother. when me and my bestfriend (pareho kaming ninang nun) buy gifts for him, we also buy something for his little brother so he wouldnt be left out.^__^ so we usually have double expenses when it comes to them.

Hehehehhe... (oo nga eh) I don't have a choice though, It's a packaged deal.:D

yeah.. it was about how to say "happy birthday" in other language! geez.. that's kinda hard to pronounce in hindi... how do you pronounce it?

i guess "BER" months are only popular here in our country.^__^ people here look forward to christmas very eagerly and the months of september till december all ends in -ber so christmas is already associated with september.^__^;;

The "BER" months are popular here but perhaps
not in the same manner. We still have two
holidays that we celebrate before Christmas.
The first is Halloween, then Thanksgiving.
Around Thanksgiving is when the Christmas
shopping gets crazy.

yeah, someone here told me that there's thanksgiving and halloween. and said that christmas should only be thought of after thanksgiving.^__^;;

hahaha.. i dont have any problem with giving gifts to my godchildren even if sometime im short of budget, but the thing im not really comfortable with is having to entertain their parents when they come to our house. im not close to all of them and im not updated with what's happening with their children so we really dont have anything to talk about.^__^;; that's the bad thing about getting godmothers/fathers for kids, parents pick just anyone.^.^
oh i dont like those kids carolling at our house too at nights. i mean, its okay if its once a week. but they're doing it every night! its like they made it as a job and im pissed about it.^__^;; talk about christmas spirit. LOL

Hehehe!=) Now you're looking to what I am looking at, I have to work my a$$ doubly-hard to make my gifts to atleast look more presentable. But we all know that Christmas is mostly for kids, also about sharing and giving!;)

right. even if im not comfortable with their parents, i still give effort on the gifts that i give to the kids. christmas is for them so let them be happy.^__^

before labor day??? 0_o uuhh.. our labor day is on may 1, is it different from yours??? if its not, then that's too early!!! or too late?? @_@ anyhow, that's a very odd time.^__^;;

Our Labor day was yesterday, but I went shopping on Saturday, and decorations were being put out already...

As far as more toys in stores, you start to see that starting in June.
