Ok I had to go look up the guys name cause I had no clue who the hell you were talking about. Now my next statment, who cares if he's gay or not. If he is great if he's not thats great too. It doesn't take away or add to the fact that he's a pretty decent actor and has a knack for making people laugh.

I agree! Nathan Lane is a very gifted, hilariously funny actor who is equally comfortable on stage, silver screen and television. His personal life doesn't mean a thing... but if it were Jerry Lewis who said that, it would have caused an uproar... but since Nathan Lane said it... it was ok.

What I don't understand is why he made the comment about himself like that anyway? Was he responding to someone else or was he just making weird jokes?

It was on either David Letterman or Jay Leno... It was when either Ellen or Rosie were coming out... Coming out was the context of the joke.

"He's a 56 year old man who hugs his dog in his avatar and loves his 4 cats. He's also unemployed. Maybe unemployable. He spends too much time on myLot... what do you think?"
Wait a minute. That's me!

Maybe I can slide by saying 2 or more of the cats belong to my wife!

nathan lane has consistantly said that he doesn't want to discuss it. he shouldn't have to discuss it. My great uncle is 90 something and has never been married. Oh, he's gay, but he won't discuss it. he shouldn't have to either. People have the right to their personal lives. Lance Bass and TJ knight did not have to be outed, either.
Is this another Craig discussion?? LOL

He's right, but it doesn't change my opinion. Tom Cruise and John Travolta have been accused of be ing gay. Travolta was photographed kissing a man in a non platonic manner and it aggravates me. A person who is gay and doesn't want to come out should not be forced to come out. It is a personal decision. Isaiah washington outed Tj Knight. That was uncalled for. Some stupid paparazzi outed Lance bass. That was uncalled for.
I've heeard of Nathan Lane walking out on interviews that asked about his orientation. Good for him.
We all have the right to privacy. If my great uncle were a celebrity, people would be going nuts about his orientation. Thank God, he's not in the public eye. The only thing I would want known about him is his 50 year relationship which he still wont admit to.
