"Johnny Cash is to receive a posthumous pardon, 42 years after he was arrested for stealing flowers from a garden.
In 1965, Cash spent a night in prison in Starkville, Mississippi, for taking a bunch of flowers from a front garden. The incident inspired his song Starkville City Jail.
The pardon will be the centrepiece of The Johnny Cash Flower Pickin' Festival in the town on November 4."

The teletext link is no longer available, it says... but the teletube video is great. He was quite the show master. I heard that he said he had the prisoners in the palm of his hand and that if he's suggested a jail break it would have happened at that concert.
