The Racist Press only Cares about a Person's Color

Personally I don't see how it's any less racist to vote for someone because they are Black than to refuse to vote for them for the same reason. The press should be ashamed of themselves for lying about being unbigoted, while at the same time being the major force for perpetuating institutionalized racism in our society.

The MSM, drive by media, dinosaur media, main stream media, or whatever you want to call them do not think any of us are intelligent enough to recognize that the word "racist" is in and of itself color blind and non racist in meaning as applied in general. Therefore it can be concluded with certainity they think either we are stupid or they are stupid themselves as they attempt to perpetuate instituionalized rascism with their biased news coverage. Personally, I favor the hypothesis that the MSM is both stupid and thinks we are stupid.

Yes but it's the press, and they are masters of the double standard. They are a lot like Congress when they pass laws that affect everyone but them. When the press says something like that it is called freedom of the press. When a white conservative Christian says just about anything they are called intolerant, racist, homophobic, hater, and bigot. The press is a major driving force behind this agenda to make everything politically correct, and to demonize everyone who is not. Since most people believe everything that the media puts out, and hardly anyone seems to think for themselves anymore, is it any wonder that our country is in the midst of a moral morass? We have become decadent, and that is a direct result of the medias' influence on the population. If you control the media, then you can control the way people think. If you add to that the degradation of our education system and the attempts by the educators to usurp authority from the parents, is it any wonder why we are in the state that we are in? Are you aware of what California is attempting right now in the name of education and equal rights? It is an agenda, and a plot to wipe out decency in America, and it is deliberate.

No different than people choosing to vote for someone solely because of what they are or are not packing in their pants....

Exactly! If a candidate is the best Man for the job, it shouldn't matter if she happens to be a woman. ;~)

Hmm, I think I read somethings and hear that people would vote for Obama because he is black and some wont because he is black. I think it is a true statements. There are people who are not going to look beyond his color, and use that as a reason not to vote for him. Then there are people who are going to say, let me vote for him because he is black. I think the media is just basing it on reality.

The reasons a person uses to vote for or against someone are there own, I'm not talking about personal opinion here, I'm talking about institutionalized racism. We will never, can never, and really shouldn't ever stamp out racism on a personal level. In a free society you should be left alone to feel about others as you please. It is institutionalized racism that we should be working against... but when the press makes race such a centerpiece in its coverage, it just keeps racism alive.

Who in the press is urging people to vote for Obama at *all* or urging people to vote for him solely due to his skin color?

The elections was my example, the point was the press in general. They can't seem to ever see past a person's color.

Well, I presume you're referring to the Obama coverage, as I haven't heard about any other black candidates in the major parties.
