Is it me, or are the Democratic candidates for the Presidency hypocrites?  

Either they are hypocrites or just not very smart! Why would they
submit as a solution to a pervasive world problem something they
are not actively practicing themselves? I think the voters will
see right through these kinds of statements and if the candidates
are serious about occupying the White House they better seriously
evaluate their present strategies.

I hate to say this but it is one of the rights that the rich and famous assume, the right to tell others how to live while stating that because of their status, wealth, fame or whatever, they can't do the same. Look at Gore who just flew to Australia to hold $1000-a-plate lunches to talk about global warming ($25,000 a plate for VIP treatment). You know he arrived in a big old private jet which just blew out more emissions that you could in a year of driving a hummer. But for that and for his 20-times-the-national-average electricity usage, he will buy "carbon offsets". The great thing is that he can buy from Generation Investment Management - a company he is chairman of and partly owns - putting money back in his own pocket. The hypocrisy is thick here. And what is more ridiculous than Elizabeth Edwards saying that we shouldn't buy produce that isn't locally grown so we don't cause increased carbon emissions by having food trucked interstate? Does she seriously think that kids in Idaho shouldn't drink orange juice or eat fruit in the winter? We don't all live in a warm climate.

They are hypocrites....but so are the rest of the damn politicians.

Everyone of them will tell you whatever it takes to get them elected, and the one with the best sounding pack of lies wins.

They are all so busy playing political games and taking pot shots at whoever is in office that they don't have anytime left over to actually do their jobs.

The country and citizens are who are paying the price, while they all just gain more and more power.

The democrats are guarantied to raise taxes every chance they get, and the sooner that they can turn this into a socialist country the happier that they will be.

The republicans stand for freedom and family values, and they are not living up to their reputation at all.

Looking over the field of candidates, I have come to the conclusion that we as Americans are pretty well screwed no matter who gets elected.
