31. onedollar (363) | 3 years ago | I only saw a part of it by accident when I was switching channels on TV.
Salò: The 120 Days Of Sodom 1975 Director: Pier Paolo Pasolini Cast: Paolo Bonacelli, Giorgio Cataldi Novel: The Marquis De Sade
It was aired on national tv (it is possible here since I do not live in the US) unbelievable it contains the most disgusting perversions that even P-films hardly ever show. I won't go into detail but it can't get worse than that.
Repulsive? Disgusting? Disturbing? Reprehensible? Vile? Those are pretty accurate words as well. No film has ever turned my stomach into nauseating knots as this one did. Believe it or not, it's praised in some critical circles.
The most mind-boggling thing is how Passolini's "Salo" is praised. For what? It's utterly senseless and nauseating. I'm serious, I really felt like throwing up, and had to turn away.
If you haven't seen it don't see it will make you sick for the rest of your life

acmepride (759) | 3 years ago | Your description of this deplorably puke-inducing sadistic film is truly pretty accurate, onedollar.
To my mind, this is by far the most disturbing film I've ever had the misfortune of watching. I particularly find the forcible eating of fecal matter, to borrow your words, "utterly senseless and nauseating."
I would like to warn those who have not seen it yet to heed the advice of onedollar: "don't see it will make you sick for the rest of your life."
Thanks so much for your excellent contribution and Happy myLotting!;)

32. wolfie34 (13909) | 3 years ago | As a teenager I loved horror films, still do, and I couldn't get enough of them, however I watched Fly 2 and I found it sickening, horrific and it actually gave me nightmares I think the director was Chris Walas put it this way it put me off watching horror films for years! Even now into my late thirties I still can't bear to see that film. Ewww it was sick and very very disturbing indeed!
| |
| |
|
|
acmepride (759) | 3 years ago | Given that it was already Fly 2, would it be correct to say that it's a sequel of Fly, if ever there was one, wolfie34?
For a horror film enthusiast to say that such a movie "actually gave me nightmares" and "put me off watching horror films for years," only clearly exhibits how terribly disturbing this particular movie actually is.
I would certainly try to get a good copy of it so that I could really decide for myself how "sick and very very disturbing" it truly is.
Thanks for your great post and Happy myLotting!;)

33. tujiagirl (209) | 3 years ago | The most disturbing movie I have watched is Ju On,a Japanese movie. What terrify me most is the scene that when the scared leading actor huddled herself into her bed,the ghost come out from the cloth. That night I was scared and daren't to go to bed. The next day was the same. The Amerrican movies terrify me by vision, but Japanese movies terrify me on mind. It's more horriable.
| |
| |
|
|
acmepride (759) | 3 years ago | That particular scene was really undeniably terrifying, tujiagirl.
To be honest, though, I find your statement, "American movies terrify me by vision, but Japanese movies terrify me on mind," quite cryptic.
For my enlightenment, could you kindly explain this specific point?
Thanks a lot and Hpapy myLotting!;)

34. erickrubio (448) | 3 years ago | Acmepride, among all the movies I've watched so far, I find "American History X" as the most disturbing because it is also the most violent movie I've watched so far. Directed by Tony Kaye, the movie deals about racial descrimination and Edward Norton, the movie's lead star, gave justice to his role as a Neo-Nazi.
| |
| |
|
|
acmepride (759) | 3 years ago | I must agree with your appreciation of American History X, erick. It could truly pass as easily one of the most disturbing films ever made, not only because of its Neo-Nazi theme, but also because of the brutality in it.
Thanks a lot for your very nice post and Happy myLotting!;)

35. suspenseful (17137) | 3 years ago | The most disturbing movie I have seen is The Exorcist, the way Linda Blair's head turns around is very scary, and how the Devil was able to take the lives of the two priests.
I guess because suicide is a sin, makes it even more horrific. The young priest threw himself out the window.
| |
| |
|
|
acmepride (759) | 3 years ago | The violent twisting and turning of Linda Blair's head and the circumstances surrounding that freaky incident in the film were indeed very scary, suspenseful.
Thanks for your fine post and Happy myLotting!;)

37. budsr03 (1520) | 3 years ago | I know of two that i have seen. One is The Killing Fields and the other is Shindler's List! They both are about war and the atrocities done to humans by humans! I know it is still happening today, but these movies made me take notice, so i've become more grateful for what i have and more helpful towards others! Take care Acmepride.

acmepride (759) | 3 years ago | It's really good to know that such compelling films paved the way for you to "become more grateful" for what you have and "more helpful towards others," budsr03.
If I may ask, though, do you still remember who directed The Killing Fields?
Thanks a lot for your much appreciated contribution and Happy myLotting!;)

budsr03 (1520) | 3 years ago | The Killing Fields came out in 1984, it was directed by Roland Joffe' and it is an award winner! Later!

| |
| |
|
|
acmepride (759) | 3 years ago | Need not apologize, drupadmathur--no harm done.
I haven't watched such movies yet, but if both of it are truly "full of blood and bones" and involve people "eating other people," I'm pretty sure that such are really disturbing.
I would try to look for good copies of such films to finally get the chance to watch such.
Thanks for your fine post and Happy myLotting!;)

| |
| |
|
|
acmepride (759) | 3 years ago | That movie truly seems disturbing, especially since, as you've clearly shared, buliangxianren, "after watching more than three times i know nothing about it."
By the way, for the benefit of the participants of this discussion, could you kindly share the title of such a perplexing film and who directed it, if ever you could remember such information already?
Thanks a lot in advance and Happy myLotting!;)
