Anyone else have a husband who is addicted to the same type of shows?  

Yes, I've tried speaking to him. But he swears there is nothing else on TV. Hundreds of channels and nothing else to watch. It does interfer because he doesn't fix the things around the house that need to be fixed. So he's an addict. Tahnk you for your response. Take care

I like M*A*S*H, but I wouldn't keep watching it over and over again. Wonder why he likes African American actors so much? I like Sydney Poitier and a few others, but not one kind of actor all the time. Although I do tend to watch a lot of Native American shows and a lot of Asian Martial Artists, but I also watch American Martial Artists. TAke care

My Mother loved Unsolved Mysteries and that show made me paranoid. I wouldn't go out after dark. I was terrified that my car would break down, so it went in the shop 4 times a year whether it needed it or not, etc.

My husband, Sweetie, went through a Nascar craze. So I know what you're saying. But that was short-lived, one season. Take care

He will consider watching other shows once in awhile. Like on Home Garden Television or Food Network. But after a short few times, he's back to it again. I like CSI a little and there were some interesting things about some of the wars, like the phantom army, an army of all fake soldiers. My husband watches some creepy stuff sometimes, too. I hate it when I come home early from work. Because he knows that stuff bothers me, so he waits until I'm gone. But you're right, YUK!

I don't have to watch this stuff, I worked as a Prison Teacher for 13 years and a County Correction Officer for 3 1/2. I'm burned out from it. He left the Air Force because of his health and he didn't want to leave, it was his life. I left all this stuff behind, in 2004. He was watching it before then and he's still watching it now. That's years of the same thing. I like variety.

Yes, we have 2 TVs. Yes, we watch TV separately. I could have done that without getting married. No, he doesn't drink and run around. I made sure I married a non-drinker and a guy who doesn't like to run around. But he's been watching prison shows since 2003 and crime onces since before that, it's 2007, can't he develop some other interests? I watch TV upstairs and he watches it downstairs. Where is the togetherness in that? I don't stop him from watching what he wants, I'm just here to complain about it.

After working 10 hours a day, he doesn't want to be overwhelmed with discussions. I come home and work on the computer and he watches TV. Hour after hour, I work on the computer and he watches TV. Unless we go out to eat together, we do nothing together any more because I'm sick of seeing the 3rd, 4th, 5th rerun of the same murder. It's not like the case is going to turn out differently. I can tell you what is going to happen next. The first year, it was interesting. The second, the new cases were interesting. But now over 80% of what he watches are repeats of the same cases. If somebody kills me, I hope I'm not rerun for years after. Someone can die once and have their case rerun for years on tv. What does that do to their families?

It's not that I don't appreciate what you wrote, it's that you sound too dang much like my husband.
