Do You Have a Special Holiday Movie?  

My all time favorite Christmas movie is "A Christmas Story" I love it when everyone tells him constantly "You'll shoot your eye out!" He always wanted a bee bee gun lol. That and when the chinese people in the restaurant are singing "Deck The Halls" for them during dinner. That is just a funny movie!

At christmas time I MUST watch A Christmas Story. I just love the realistic old time story from a kids point of view. And of course you can't miss Rudolph and Charlie Brown's christmas.

Yes I do, twoey. I think the old holiday movies are the best, but I do like some of the newer ones also. I like any of the Halloween movies for Halloween; no special one for Thanksgiving; and Home Alone is my hands-down favorite for Christmas. I have always loved that movie. I do like The Grinch also.

My favorite is 'Christmas in Connecticut." I prefer that over the new version, and the way the twists and turns about who was married to whom, the babies left by their mothers who worked in the factory, and all the antics was quite funny.

I do not have a favorite Halloween, but I did love "Miracle on 34th Street" that came around Thanksgiving.

I love Nightmare before Christmas for Halloween. And "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!"

my favorite christmas movie is the Year without a Santa Claus. Although, Rudolph is good too, with the Island of Misfit Toys. I also like the Grinch cartoon (not so much the Jim Carrey movie)

I don't have just one movie. During the month of October I love to watch as many Horror/Halloween/Scary movies as I can.

I'd say one classic is "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie! Brown" which I don't have on DVD unfortunately. I need to get that box set, but sadly I have it's a charlie brown christmas... so I'll have to give that to someone so I won't have two when I get the box set!

The only thanksgiving movie there is is the Charlie brown one. But I never miss the Macy's Day Parade. I love it!

During the month of December, like October, I watch as many Christmas movies as I can.. but the Staple is the 24 hour marathon of "A Christmas Story" broadcast every year on TBS.

I do have a favorite movie that has become a sort of tradition for me on the night I trim the Christmas tree. It has nothing to do with Christmas actually, it is just that the first Christmas after my mother died I saw the movie playing on TNT, I had not seen it yet, and it really touched my heart. I was having a hard time struggling with putting up the tree any way. I just could not imagine this holiday with out my mom, as she always made such a big deal over Christmas, while watching the movie I hung the lights and ornaments and cried. i bought the DVD and every year it gets played as our tree goes up, and yes I still cry. The movie is City of Angels.

Well hubby and I don't have kids but nonetheless we like to watch "It's a wonderful life" at Christmas time. It's such a wonderful story and yet a true one because of it's meaning. What if we were never born? What would it have been like? How many lives are forever changed because we were born?

For Halloween, I love to watch as many horror films as possible.

Around Thanksgiving I start searching the TV listings for The Wizard of Oz.

At Christmas, I love all the "stop animation" specials like Rudolph. I also love A Christmas Carol and watch as many different versions as I can. I also love Christmas Story, Polar Express and frankly just about every other Christmas special they air.

No, I don't have a certain movie to watch on special occasions. I just watch whatever's on TV. It's full of holiday movies anyway.
