What do you like the most: reading to yourself, being read to, or books on tape?  

I like reading to myself the most. I get into the stories that I read, and I get lost in them sometimes. I like reading to myself, because I interpret things the way I want to, and picture the people and places, hear their voices. I don't like listening to others read, because their interpretation may be different from mine. Also, I like to be alone and uninterrupted.

For me i prefer reading by myself. can read at my rythm, be concentrate on the story,see and imagine things.. i like being read too but book on tape, no. dont feel confortable with that.

I like to read to myself the best. I find it relaxing. I find that if other people are reading to me or I'm listening to a book on tape I drift off more and daydream. I focus better reading for myself and find it more enjoyable all around.

I like reading to myself. I tend to concentrate more when I read. I think the only time that I can get my mind to stay on one topic is by reading.
After getting an ipod, I learned to enjoy listening to audiobooks when I'm about to sleep. It's different from reading, I can still concentrate, but I doze off after the first hour. LOL

Reading myself, for sure. Hun read to me a bit in the hospital, but people put their own inflection on, and it comes out differently than I would have 'heard' it. It was nice though... TV got boring too quickly!

I read to myself. I don't enjoy being read to, 'cause I don't understand sometimes. And I don't have books on tape, I haven't tried that one yet. Though I'm not sure if I'd enjoy it either. I like reading to myself, because I'd get to understand it, reread it if I have to. I can go at my own pace, whatever's comfortable for me.

I enjoy reading and getting lost in a book in a comfy chair during a thunderstorm or snowstorm the most! I don't get that opportunity all that often though, so I also enjoy audio books. I travel all the time with my job, so audio books have become my passion to keep me entertained on the long drives! It's easy to get lost in a story that way also and before you know it, you are at your destination! I dream of a day when cars can be programmed with the directions to just "take" you where you need to go on their own and you can just sit back in a nice comfy seat and read the entire way, or sleep! lol

I am like you. I love to read but also love books on tape. Some people I cannot listen to on tape without falling asleep because of the soft low calm voices. Some people I listen to over and over. I love to be read to and always read before I go to sleep. Books are great no matter how you read them.

sometimes i read to my little niece.
But I am quiet type of person so, reading to myself is one of my favourite pastime.

I like to read to myself ,because only in this condition ,i can focus my all attention on the content of the article!
