My Marjoram plant has fuzzy flowers

Fuzzy Marjoram Blossoms - I love my hippopotamus planter and this herb seems to like it too.

I was having difficulty getting some pictures to upload here, so I am going to try once more, and this (I hope) will be a picture of my marjoram plant in bloom. Some people call this plant oregano, but it isn't anything like the oregano we use for pesto. In case the photo does not load correctly, it is in a pot shaped like a hippopotamus, and so I have two questions for everyone:1) Do you have any unusual shaped planters that you like to use for special plants? What colors and shapes are they? Mine is a very low-tech pot, but I have seen some extremely fancy planters? Do you have any experience with a fancy planter? Please describe yours. 2) Marjoram isn't a particularly handsome plant, but whenever I brush against mine, I just love that aroma, even though marjoram is not an herb I've ever used in cooking. Does anyone actually eat this stuff? Or do you just like to smell it in the garden?

I like your picture, your plant and your hippo are very cute. I once found a recipe for Marjorum cookies and they were different. I think mint would have been better. Chocolate and mint better yet. I keep trying different recipes, but usually I think something else would be better. It is a nice smelling plant. We all could use some all natural wonderful smells during the musty days of winter. Take care

The cookies do sound different, lol. It is hard to imagine how a plant that smells so good would taste so funny. I am waiting for someone to tell me that it is Basil we put in the pesto and not oregano!
