Funeral music, what would you choose? Not being macabre, just curious.  |

|  I was thinking back to my Dad's funeral and remembering the music we chose for him. Benny Goodman, a lively piece of good old style swing and the Goons*Ying Tong Song* to ensure there were some smiles amidst the tears. When I asked my partner what he would want played at his funeral he immediately chose Metallica*Nothing Else Matters* while I opted for Sisters of Mercy*Temple of Love* and Meatloaf*Bat out of Hell*So now I am asking you all, try not to be too serious or sombre, think about it, what would you like played at your funeral.

| |  lol...I would hope they played something like Bat out of Hell at my wake! I'm sure that would give the whole thing a different slant. At my Dad's we had protestant hymns like Amazing Grace. They were his favorites. I wish we had thought of the old songs like Benny Goodman...that was a good idea.

| |  I was at a funeral recently and very impressed that the deceased knowing she was dying had time to make all the arrangements and the music was a lively Country style and i enjoyed it impeccability,I wonder how many church brass would allow it ? | |  Well, if I am lucky enough to be able to choose, I think I want "The Lord's prayer" and "How great Thou art". I love these songs so even if I wont get to hear during the funeral, I will certainly be resting in peace. lol.
