You can feel him when the cold winds blow around you. You can smell him in fresh garden in your back yard. H is in front of you and watching every moment of your life. For every on, father and mother are living Gods. Then comes your teacher.

acmepride (652) | 10 months ago | Nice answer, sara03. However, what I'm really asking is exactly how do you perceive your god physically in your mind's eye? When you pray to or worship your god, in what form does/do he/she/it/they appear to you? Thanks a lot for participating in this discussion and Happy myLotting!;)

acmepride (652) | 10 months ago | I know and understand where you're coming from, tines. If I were to ask you, though, do you have a specific image of him, when you're praying to or worshiping him in solitude? If you do, what does he look like? Thanks a lot in advance for fully answering my questions and Happy myLotting!;)

| | 4. SomethingGood332 (1345) | 10 months ago | Usually, the wind. My god is plural, with multiple genders and purposes, found in everything. Depending on my need at the time, that is the form taken. If I need a sage for advice and help with a problem, then it is a more grandparent-like figure, etc. If no specific need is present, then it is the wind, or air.

acmepride (652) | 10 months ago | Without intending to pry, in any way, SomethingGood332, may I ask what your religion is? By the way, did your conception of god as a wind start when you were still a kid? If not, when and how did such a usual representation come about? Thanks a lot for trying to fully answer my question in a fairly clear manner and Happy myLotting!;)

SomethingGood332 (1345) | 10 months ago | I don't find it to be too prying of a question, but there is no simple answer. My grandfather is a Pentecostal preacher, on of the type that condemns you to Hell if you do not believe exactly as he does, and we were all expected to show up to church to represent the family, but I didn't truly believe the way of the Pentecostal Church. I was convinced that I would be damned to a Hell I didn't believe in by a vengeful God who is only benevolent to those of the Church. I decided that that couldn't possibly be right. My husband, who was my best friend growing up, and his mother are Wiccan, and that was a better fit, but still not quite right. To find the answer, I studied theology and religions; I know quite a bit about Catholicism, Lutheranism, Islam, Hinduism, Wicca, Paganism, the Greek Orthodox Church, Judaism, the Anglican Church, various denominations of Christianity, Buddhism, Santeria, San Greal, and various other religions from various other regions of the world. Everything seemed to fit a little, but nothing seemed to fit right. It was a Christian friend of mine, the type of religious person who will help you with your own Spiritual Walk, even if it differs from his own, who finally told me, "Don't worry about your beliefs fitting a particular church. You don't have to have an orthodox set of beliefs to be a devout person. Whether you belief in God, Zeus, or the Great Cosmic Banana [yes, that is a direct quote!], what matters is that you believe, that your beliefs do not infringe upon the rights of others to believe, and that you live your life according to those believes." After that, I never worried about identifying with a particular religion. I see my god in many different forms, though the wind is a gentle caress from a loving hand. If people press the issue of my beliefs too much and don't accept the above answer, or don't accept that it is none of their business, if that is the case, then I just tell them that I belong to the Church of the Great Cosmic Banana.

acmepride (652) | 10 months ago | I totally agree with your friend's instructive statement that "what matters is that you believe, that your beliefs do not infringe upon the rights of others to believe, and that you live your life according to those believes," which essentially highlights the importance of respect and consistency in the practice of one's deeply held beliefs. Given your post, I could really only imagine how spiritually enlightening your long yet fruitful journey may have actually been. I now better understand how your wind representation of the God you believe in came about. Thanks a lot for your clear and exhaustive sharing of your personal religious experience! Happy myLotting, SomethingGood!;)

| | | | 6. ravi_080888 (551) | 10 months ago | GOD is secret..we cant know about him..in this world, different people talking differently about GOD..but all are not true..man cannot explore god..people imagine god by the basis their surroundings and environment..each people have different about god..for example, there is a sand bridge connects india and srilanka..according hindhu mythology,it was built by the king Rama who s a god but born as human to destroy a bad king named ravana..but internationally, the bridge is called as Adam's bridge..here starts the difference...Is rama true or Adam s true...?...Hence god is unanswerable question...

acmepride (652) | 10 months ago | I'm quite sure that your view may perhaps, to a certain extent, have some merit to it. Nevertheless, ravi, what I'm really simply asking is how precisely does/do your god/s look like when you visualize him/her/it/they? In your mind's eye, does/do he/she/it/they assume a human form, for instance, or not? Thanks a lot in advance for your clarification and Happy myLotting!;)

| | | | 7. cassidy22 (2671) | 10 months ago | I can't describe the god I believe in. I know the bible claims he made man in his image. But that could be a metaphor. It might not be a direct translation that we LOOK like him, but that we ARE like him or we have the ability to try t make decisions like him/her. I don't think he has a human face, I don't even think th god I believe in has a tangible body. I think it's energy, and I think it's something we can't understand or describe with the knowledge we have right now.

| | | | 8. Buchi_bulla (1315) | 10 months ago | In my opinion God does not have a form. But I usually visualise God to be in the form of light, whenever I think of him or meditate upon him. This helps in meditating with concentration.

| | | | 9. mamasan34 (4104) | 10 months ago | I don't think I can put a face on God. God is in all of us. We are made in his image, so everywhere I look there is an imprint of him on it or him/her. So, I really can't say taht I think of him as a human or with a face.

| | | | 10. musicman6 (1406) | 10 months ago | I'll tell you what Acme, I sit here and listen to all these guys that deny religion, and the presence of a God, and then the argument on the other side, about christianity, and I don't care what they say, it is merely words to me! I believe in what I believe, and I don't need evidence from 2000 or 3000 yrs ago to prove or disprove anything! My belief comes from within my own heart, and my own soul, and mind! I have lived my life, I have experienced my life, and I have faith in what I have experienced! Within me I have my belief of what a God is, and what He would look like! But it could not be put on paper! My belief is what is strong, not the picture of what He looks like!
