There's a serious part and there's a fun part where we can just have a good laugh and go out, just like I do with my other friends. Basicly, he's just like a friend only one I know even better and have affectionate feelings for in another way.
When you aren't friends with your lover and can't share most things (there might be things you don't share, but I guess most of it for sure) there might be something wrong in your relationship. After your first crush is over, I guess you should realize if you want to spend the rest of your life together love is not enough; you have to be able to trust each other, know each other well and love each other a lot.

| sharon123 (51) | 4 years ago | my opinion is that you cannot share most of the things with your lover which you share with your best friend. you have to hide certain things from your lover so that nothing goes wrong in our relationship or maybe we dont want to lose them.but at the same time we go and discuss openly with our best friend. | |

A friend is someone who accepts you for who you are, has your best interests at heart, and treats you, and your opinions respectfully. They also see the fun side of you, besides your serious side. I wouldn't want anyone who loved me to be less of a friend. Ideally your lover should be your best friend, if not, then you don't have anything but a physical relationship, and not a true heart, mind, and soul connection...imho.
