Do You Have An Attic? What Lurks There?

I have a loft, it is rather like an attic. I got a handy man to fit a long ladder to it that comes down from the little trap like door. I have a metal stick that I use to pull the ladder down to see when I am standing in my upstairs hall. I have put all the things that I don't use very often up there. For example they are things that I displayed in my previous home that I do not have space for in my current home. I also have surplus books and clothes up there that I am not currently using. Yes, it is quite creepy up there. There is a light and when I plug the electricity into it it is light in the middle part of the loft. However the light does not extend to the front and back of the loft. Therefore it is a bit scary up there sometimes. There are dark shadows and my imagination can get going! If I had the money I would love to convert my loft into a room. I think a window could quite easily be put in. That would be lovely because it would have views of the countryside. I would make it an extra bedroom, playroom and study. My children would love being up there I think.

we don;t have an attic we do have like a trap door in the ceiling of a walk in storage room but It does not look big enough to hold amything at all

We do have an attic but it's not large enough to make it into living space. It's full of insulation. I would probably convert it into storage for my crafts since we have plenty of bedrooms in the house for guests.

Yep I do now. For now we use it for storage and a place to sit. We go up there to hang out. It needs some finishing work like insulation and boards put up on the walls. Right now there are so many nails sticking through Im afraid I might get stuck!! LOL. We are going to do that this summer.

We live in an apartment and there is a crawl space above. I don't know how big it is or what's up there since I've never been up there. There is, however, a small square door in the top of our hall ceiling. "COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS" **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

got an attic an we put boxes and stuff up there for it help with extra storage space that we seem to need more of . Its the length of the house but roff isnt tall enought to put a room or two into for every one would conck their heads lol

Our attic is only big enough for storage, you can't really stand up up there. Mostly, it's Christmas decorations. I do think that someone lives up there sometimes... Even when the wind's not blowing, I hear creaking noises. It just sounds like someone's walking around. My husband thinks I'm nuts, but I think it's kinda funny.

Hello gtargirl. I don't have an attic, but I have a nice and practical pavilion made of cement on top of my apartment. I have not fixed it yet as I don't have enough time and money for it for the time being. My wife and I plan to fix it sometime next summer. I am glad that we can have a very nice view on the top of my apartment as it is on the seventh floor. We plan to have some glass window walls for the two sides of the pavilion and some other shelters in the open part with no covering stuff. It would be nice when it is fixed.

I have no idea what is in my attic i think it is junk from when my girlfriend was little but not sure. I only evn opened the door once and that was to send her brother up there because the pipes had froze up and we had no water.
