Are you a ghost believer or still suspicious about it?

Hello my dear ssh. I am very happy to see you in my discussion tonight(Nov 30, 07). I have often heard so many people talk about ghosts, but it is not easy to hear someone say that she herself has ever seen a ghost. It would be very scary to me when I hear about this, though like you, I don't believe it at all until I have seen one in real. Of course, I don't expect to see one as it would be really scary to death. I am glad to know that you don't believe it, nor are you suspicious about it. Good morning, dear gerald_lian. I show great interest in the wondeerful story from you grandmother. I am glad that I read this morning, not last night, otherwise it would be difficult for me to fall asleep. hehe. I especially like the part where the apparition could speak in mandarin. So this could be a Chinese ghost or apparition. Oh, my. Yes, in our Chinese culture, we have many ghosts stories. I guess that you must know that famous ancient classic novel by Pu Songling, which is entitled with "Liaozai", with many ghosts stories in it. I love this novel very much and used to read it a lot when I was young. This novel is also made into movies, which I also love to watch very much.

Good morning, my dear friend wolfie. I think that it is better to believe more about guardian angels than ghosts, as they are there protecting us from getting into any evil things. I am glad to know that you have guardian angels in the heart. Yeah, it is the same with me to keep an open mind about the paranormal stuff as this is such a mysterious world, where there are so much for us to learn about. wolf you are right, anything is possible. guardian angels, yes i believe thats possible, but if its true why do they only protect us from danger and not life mistake situations. I bet most of us could of used protection then.

Well, thanks for sharing your idea about this topic and I agree that we really do have some goose bumps while listening to such things as ghost stories. it makes perfect sense that it happened more often around christmas. why? because as i said in my responce. they aren't ghosts. they are demons posing as ghost. and demons do that to get your focus off of God. christmas being all about the birth of Christ is the time when they want to distract you the most.

They're not demons, they're ghosts. Most of them are the ghosts of people that died in that house. Several people have. And the activation of the ornaments doesn't distract the people in the house from Christmas, they actually bring attention to it. As a matter of fact, having those ornaments go off at random actually served to cheer up my sister, who had lost her best friend in a car accident earlier that year. It made her enjoy Christmas that year instead of spending the entire holiday season crying for her lost friend.

When you encounter a demon, you'll know it. Trust me.

Are you a christian? Do you read the bible? It says in the bible that a dead man can not revisit his home. And that he will never turn to this earth. You can't argue with God. From age 5 to 16 I spoke to "ghosts" and seen them on a regular basis. 3 people died in my moms house. I lost my dad, grandfather, cousin and brother in law. And all 4 of them came to me after they died. Only problem is...it wasn't them. It was demons posing as them. You are under the impression that when a demon show himself that you will feel their evil. This is not always true. The devil himself can make you believe that he is good.

No, I don't believe in the Christian idea of god.

By the way, the last time I checked god didn't write the bible. Men did.

I'm not here to argue theology or the theories you got from some website (afterall, if you read it on the internet it MUST be true). The question was whether people believe in ghosts. I do. I've had experiences with them. Many experiences, all of my life. All but 1 were very positive experiences. No, ghosts don't talk. But they do communicate. There's a difference. If you were "talking to ghosts" I'd say that you were just imaginative.

I never once said they spoke. I said I spoke to them. And the web site that I told you about has passages straight out of the bible. (I guessed that you didn't own one...and therefore it would be easier for you to just go to the web site). You said that last time you checked, God didn't write the bible but men did. Well, while you were checking you must have skipped over the part that said, God told them what to write.

I know where you are coming from with believing in ghosts. As I stated before, I believed in them for years. But then I decided to further educate myself on the matter. And it really opened my eyes.

Please don't think that you're more educated on ghosts that I am. You're backing up what you've "learned" by the beliefs of 1 religion. There are many more religions than that, and most of them are older than Christianity. And I've studied several of them. Different religions have different views on the subject of ghosts. You've picked one set to believe. My experience tells me that that's wrong. I never said that the ghosts always made me feel good. I said that the ornaments activating at Christmas made my sister feel better. Trust me, I'm very attuned to the feeling of evil. I can read it in people, animals, even ghosts.

Just because "god told the men what to write" doesn't mean that they got it right, or that it was translated right. There have been many proven mistranslations in the bible.

I am a Christian and that is that. You have made it very clear that you are not. I'm glad that you study different religions. As do I (I'm majoring in Theology and Religious Studies). Enough said. You and your beliefs have a great day.

Hello dear Sherry. Thanks so much for letting us know about your idea about this topic by giving a convicing example both you and your sister-in-law have experienced for the phone from your father-in-law who passed away. I was reading this response with goose skin bumps. I like your story.

Ok, it is my turn again to talk about the students' dormitory. As we have fewer students this year, all of the apartments on the top floor are empty and it is locked so that none of the students would be able to go there. That is the usual practice as we have an iron door for each floor. The only explanation to this is our school used to be villages and there used to be some scattered tombs. So I am wondering whether there are real ghosts.
