I don't think I've ever had anything but a Mr. Coffee coffee maker. I know there are a lot of brands out there but I think it's probably the price that keeps me going back to this one. I do have a Melitta Carafe that I got free from one of my rewards sites I only have that because I didn't read the whole thing and thought it was a coffee maker...lol...but as it turns out I'm very happy with it.
Do you own a coffee maker? Which do you think is the best brand? Have you tried different brands and like one over the other?

Hello Ctrymuziklvr,
I don't drink coffee, myself. Though Hubby is a big coffee fan. He drinks it black, and strong. For years he swore by Bunn. According to Hubby, a Bunn makes coffee quicker than any other brand.
Yet, a few years back we boxed up his Bunn (ar, ar, ar -- that sounds so funny). We only pull it out now when we have out-of-town guests. What Hubby uses now for his daily coffee is a french press. He insists the french press gives him the best cup of coffee he's ever tasted. I will also add that he's a bit of a coffee snob. He buys gourmet coffees, and grinds them himself -- so that the coffee tastes fresher. So, if your ultimate goal is taste, then I'd suggest a french press.
Either way, enjoy!

I prefer to use fresh ground myself because it does taste so much better than grounds that have been sitting in a can forever...lol and the smell of the fresh ground beans is awesome first thing in the morning.

I have always heard that Bunn was the best coffee maket but they cost about $80! I just buy they cheap $10 no brand name because my husband is the only one who drinks coffee and he only drinks one glass a day.

Like everything else I guess the more it costs the better it is....even with coffee makers.

I've never given much thought to brands of coffee makers, ctry, and I've used several. I now have a Proctor Silex and it's OK. I guess as long as they deliver the coffee hot and fresh, I really don't care so much about the brand. I used to get coffee from Gevalia and they would send the coffee maker along with your first shipment of coffee.

I had tried Gevalia one time and I did get one of their coffee makers but it didn't last very long. I don't even remember why.

As far as I'm concerned the only REAL good cup of coffee can only be found at at Dunkin Donuts. Anything made at home is just mediocre to me.

I don't know that there is a "best brand". I have certain features I want, but don't care who makes it. I want to have the auto stop so that you can pull the pot out while the coffee is in the process of being made. I also want to be able to set the timer and have it make coffee right before I get up. My mom had a coffee pot that made the coffee right into a carafe, that was pretty cool, but it didn't have the other features...

I thought most coffee makers came with the auto stop automatically but of courese I could be wrong. The coffee maker I'm using now acutally is just the carafe type and I like it pretty much.

I have had many coffee makers in my life because i am a coffee drinker.I have had Mr.coffee,I really cannot name all the ones i have had.I did have a Bunn a couple of times, but to be honest with you the very best coffee maker i have ever had was a percolater..Perked coffee is so good, and it has no after taste like most coffee makers...I have always used one except i have used a drip pot but to me perked coffee is the best. The pots are a little higher in price but they last for years...

I've never had one that pours right into your cup but it sounds like a great idea to me. I might have to check that out....after the holidays that is!

Well, can't say as to if it makes good coffee or not, but Mr. Coffee brews great iced tea! I do make myhusband 4 cups in the am, and since he thinks I am the worst cook ever and will not even eat anything I make (I'm not that bad at all, he just thinks he is better!) , he does drink the coffee I make him, so I'd say Mr coffee is a miracle worker!

Currently we own a Sunbeam. Mr Coffee is good. But the best coffee maker around here is my husband. No Muss no fuss, I don't even have to get out of bed! Really, he makes a great cup o Joe lol. I have always wanted to try one of those Gevalia stainless steel jobs though.
