The weather here in Minnesota is typical Minnesota December weather, (except for the warm temp), It's 30 degrees farenheit. It's snowing heavily. It looks so Christmassy and peaceful right now. I plowed about 3 inches from my drive a couple hours ago and there's another inch or more now to be cleared. But as you can tell in this photo it's not going to stop snowing anytime soon. I just love the look and feel of the snow as it first starts to fall. This scene outside has calmed me down a lot this afternoon. That's something I really needed. I love my Minnesota Snow. Hee hee. How much do you love and or appreciate a peacefull snowfall?

Grandpa, you're lucky. The snow won't take my stress away, however. The only way that snow could de-stress me was if I was looking at in in a postcard or the tv hehehe
I"m not the biggest fan of snow although it looks pretty just as it falls.
This girl was made for warm weather and sunny days LOL

Oh NO, the photo does help, but them I look outside the window and all the snow is just a dirty mess and the effect of the photo kind of vanishes LOL
Snow is really pretty and serene, but I suppose for the effect to last we have to be away from the city heheheh
WIsh you a wonderful day :)

I love snow, especially when I don't have to be out and about in it too much. I just like sitting inside and watching it fall and slowly accumulate. We're supposed to get a bit of snowfall early tomorrow morning. Not a lot, but enough to really make me happy, so I hope we get it.

Hi Grandpa Bob,
That is a pretty scene. We have a fair amount of snow here too, for this time of year. I've heard we're going to get lots this year. I love to look at it from inside, but have really come to hate the cold, and bad walking and driving conditions. Sorry to hear about your snowblower. Be careful out there!

Thanx. I love it a lot myself. The driving I love except for those few that do not know how to drive in snow. Those can be a bear to deal with. Otherwise gimme more snow. Hee hee.

I've driven in it all my life so I am used to it and actually enjoy
it to a point. It's the other drivers that bother me a lot. HAHAHAHA!!

You're welcome. I mostly love it just to look at, as I've mentioned, but find it hard to navigate in.

I love the snow, and I agree it's so peaceful and serene, and it seems like it is more so in the early morning light or just before dark. I was just looking out the window a few minutes ago and thinking to myself 'it's still hard to believe that I'm living where snow is the norm this time of year!' This is only my third winter in the Northeast. And so far the only thing I don't like about it, is the drive my s/o has from home to work and back, over the mountain. But, other than that I love it, and he's lived here all his life, so he knows how to drive in it, lol. And if worse comes to worse, his parents only live about 5 blocks from his station, so he can stay there if it really gets bad, and it saves me some worrying about him being on the road. My dog loves the snow too, as you can see in the pic I included

One gets used to driving in snow after awhile. I can drive in snow covered roads as safely as a dry summer days road. It's no biggie to me anymore. But now the ice storms can't be driven in without a tank or tire chains which are illegal here. My wife constantly worries about me on snow covered roads as well. Cute dog BTW.

I don't do snow driving yet, I mean if it's snowing and the roads are just wet, then I'll go, but...... Thanks, she's our baby, she loves playing in the snow, and loves catching the snow when we shovel the driveway lol

I could take it or leave the snow. Generally here in Indiana lately we haven't really gotten a good snow fall in a few years. Just enough to make the roads bad and cause car accidents. Though if I was tucked away in a out of way place, no need to go anywhere or anything to do, it would be nice and peaceful just to watch and enjoy the scenery.

Oh Bob there is nothing quite like a peaceful snowfall is there? I sure miss them. I grew up in northern Canada and lived in Thunder Bay for 15 years and there is nothing quite like a beautiful peaceful snow. I don't get it now as I now live in Toronto and there is no such thing lol. If and when we get snow if is filthy and turns to slush from all the traffic in a very short time. I am hopeing to go home to North Bay for christmas and be able to enjoy some of the clean peaceful snow up there. Take care Grandpa Bob, our thought are with you and your family.

Thunder Bay is such a beautiful area. I went there with my family as a little child growing up in the Detroit area. I loved going anywhere to Canada actually. I felt like a "world" traveler at 8 being in Canada. HAHAHA! Snow is peaceful until it turns brown that is. Ughh! HAHAHAHA! Yeah Toronto does not get a lot of snow usually. Most people think it would though. Take care.

I love the white fresh fallen snow on cedars around our place and the peace of living in the mountains. We have lots of wildlife surrounding us and our neighbors cannot see us or we them except when we see them on the county road coming or going. I love all the seasons, they each have their own unique but ever changing beauty. I am not a winter fan however and don't like the ice and slush or cold.

wow that's nice...
seeing a blanket of snow outside does have a calming effect. It's been a while since I've seen snow. Over here, it's been rain rain and more rain. with some sunshine interspersed.
It's the monsoon season which means the nights are cool. But the rain is really inconvenient when you want to get out and about. Merry Christmas!
