I love to travel. Sydney with is gorgeous looking harbor is my favorite city. I also really like San Francisco with its stunning bridge. I like historical cities with lovely architecture like Dubrovnik, Salzburg, Budapest and Prague.
If I could choose to visit three cities these would be Cape Town, Vancouver and Kyoto.
Which is the your favorite city? Why?
Which other cities do you like very much/
Are there other cities you would like to visit. Which ones?
Happy traveling.

I had been to Singapore and it is a city as well as a country. I liked that city for it is managing with graciousness despite many limitations. Resources are put into best use. People of different ethnic origins are living together and they have set a good example of discplined living.

Many thanks for your superb response. I have also been to Singapore, twice now. I think it has very nice sights like the harbor, the national park and the wonderful shopping streets. I think that people are friendly and well behaved. There are some super laws and fines fro doing things like dropping rubbish or feeding a monkey.

I would probably have to say New York City, although I have only been there one time. I love the fast pace and all there is to see and do there. I also enjoy Nashville, TN, I have been there a number of times and almost consider it a second home.
Other cities that rank at the top are Boston and Fort Worth. Both great cities. Boston has a lot of history and Fort Worth is just down right fun.

I would love to visit New York for a few days. Then I think it would be lovely to see quieter Boston. Fort Worth and Nashville sound lovely as well. Many thanks for your superb response. I will have to see more of the USA one day, so far I have been to California three times and to Hawaii once. Amtrak do some fantastic train passes and I have enjoyed a memorable time traveling on their trains.

I have not been to many cities (sad to say). My dream is to travel round the world =D I do hope I can fulfill my dream and I'll be able to better answer this question after that.
I have only been to Hong Kong, Macau, Japan (Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka, Nara and Tokyo), Malaysia and Thailand (Pattaya and Bangkok).
Personally, I like Nara alot. Nara is a serene place with many shrines and temples. It is also known for its roaming deers. The deers are very tame and well-behaved. There are no need for fences to keep them in. It's a very beautiful and peaceful city. It has hills and mountains. It's very different from the place I live in. I live in a place where you see building and skyscrapers everywhere.

Thanks for your excellent response. I hope that you get to go around the world one day. I would love to go to Japan, Nara sounds lovely. I have been to Hong Kong and really liked it there. It was quite amazing for I stayed in the youth hostel on the top of Mount Davis. The view over all the city lit up below was stunning. I will always remember it.

I have only been to cities in the United States so far. I would love to visit cities in other countries though!
My favorite city of all time so far is New York City. Expensive, but I love it nonetheless.
My second favorite city is New Orleans. It smells horrible (even pre-hurricane), but I have some very fond memories of the place.
It's funny because my dad despises both places. He hates cities, says that are dangerous. If he could forbid me to ever go to New Orleans again, he would. It's a good thing I am almost 30 and go where I want!

I think it would be amazing to visit New York. I am sure the shopping there is amazing. I have read books set in New Orleans. I think the hurricane hitting it was very sad. I would still like to go there though.
It is a shame that your dad hates cities. I went to Nairobi. My guide book said not to wear a watch, carry any money and to have a clear plastic bag with non valuable items in it. Going to an ATM machine there was scary. Shopping in the market I had to open my money belt. There were so many great things to buy.

Of course, my favourite city I ever visited is Las Vegas. I love the lights at night, the excitement of the hussle and bussle. People walking down the streets and saying hello to others. The glamour.
I also love Vancouver and the surrounding area. I love the mountains. I love Victoria, on the island. I found Victoria to be so clean. And the street lights in Victoria are so different than what I have seen in other cities. They are on shorter poles and have 3 big bulbs. They are very pretty.
I also love Calgary. The first time I went there, I fell in love with it. Getting off the plane and driving west towards the apartment my hubby found for us, he got transferred there, the clean streets and all the houses were brand new. The only thing that I didn't like is there were no people outside. No one in their yards, or on their decks. It was so quiet. It was so clean.

I have never been to Sydney or Australia, but I have been to Prague and that truly is a beautiful city, so much culture, architecture and the arts. I also like Berlin because of the historic value behind it, the wall and the trams again with culture. I would have to say my favourite city is Amsterdam because there is so much to do there, the people are friendly and that too has a lot of history behind it. I would love to visit Stockholm, hopefully one day as well as Dublin.

Yes, Prague is a gorgeous city. I also like Amsterdam, Dublin and Stockholm. I enjoy riding on trams too. This autumn I went to Lisbon and it has many old trams that travel around the narrow historic cities. I think that you might like it there Wolfie. One day I would like to visit Berlin as haven't been there yet. I really like the the German cities that I have been to so far with all the lovely old buildings.

For a traveler, I think Manila and its surrounding Metro would be a good place to visit. For shopping, the top three biggest malls in Southeast Asia are all located within an 8 kilometer radius. For historical tours, the quadcentury old Spanish built Intramuros (for past history), Ayala Museum (for past to present history), and American Memorial Park (for modern history) are worth visiting. For food, oriental, western, and exotic food abound. For transport, one can freely go around through its metro-wide mass rail transit, one can also try the local public jeepney, the kalesa (horse-driven carriage), ferry boat ride, (motor) tricycle and (manual) pedicab (three-wheel local taxi).
The city I would like to visit is Florence, Italy, the cradle of the Renaissance, where the artworks of the top four renowned Italian artists, Donatello, Leonardo da Vinci, Michaelangelo, and Raphael are found.
