Yesterday I gave my daughter her first baby doll! It's so cute becues she give the doll kisses and hugs her and everything. It's so great. So those of you who have daughters do you remember giving them their first doll? Or if you remember getting your first doll lets hear about it.

My daughter is a tomboy and is not much into dolls. She is 4 year old I have givne her dolls and things to play with them with like little strollers and cribs and highchairs but she is more into ponies than she is dolls.

I remember when I got my first baby doll. I loved it so much and I took care of it like it was a real baby. It was so adorable and I loved it so much I had it by my side everysecond. I don't remember what happened to it but I think my grandma's dog had something to do with it.

We raised 3 daughters and all they wanted was cabbage patch dolls. First time I saw one thought it was so pitiful looking. As time went on and I saw our little girls cuddling with them and dragging them all over the house, my opinion changed. They had names and various clothing we bought for them. The girls never wanted the fancy, cute, feminine dolls and that was ok with me.

even a year later, I was glad to find this comment. My daughter is 10 months old and just started 'role playing' with her doll...patting it's back, kissing it, hugging it. I was surprised by this as she is so young and hasn't SEEN any older children interact this way. I've been searching for info on average age of role playing and your comment is the only thing I've found for a child as young as mine. Glad to know others have enjoyed this same darling experience!
